    Hi All!

I was told that prices for CME went up due to poor or lack of production of coconuts due to the big storms late last year.

So I guess that would include anything made from coconuts as well as altec pointed out.

I was also told that once coconut production has been normalized / stabilized the prices should go back to original levels.

    Hope this helps.

    :regards:

very correct. this is also my market info.
ang problema pre... matagal mamunga ang bagong tamin na puno ng niyog. unless they resort to the short coconut species na mabilis mamunga. o well... let the agrarian scientists handle that. we have enough nuts... este... brilliant scientists pala at Philcoa and Dept of Agri.

Any word on Jatropha? Marami na atang nag-start mag produce nito for fuel. Logically, mas ok ito since non-food oil source ito for Biodiesel. Walang ibang competition other than Biofuel making.

Meron na bang naka-try sa inyo ng Jatropha BioD?

    Hi All!

I asked about the use of Jathorpa or tuba-tuba and was told that the oil produced was not up to par with coconut oil.

While it may still be used, the quality of biodiesel produced is not as good.

Further research is still being done on it to see if it can be made to match CME quality as CME is considered the best biodiesel in the world since it provides all the benefits of biodiesel made from other feedstock and has the additional benefit of also reducing NOx emmissions.

    Hope this helps.

It does seem like CME is the best biodiesel for the reasons you mentioned plus the fact that even 0.5% can give 10% fuel savings.

May I ask, however, who is your source for jatropha info.

Mayroon factory outlet store ang Chemrez, they sell BioActiv for P74/500mL and P1,240/20L. Petron sells BioActiv (green) for P74/500mL and Flying V sells BioActiv (blue) for P64/500mL. Flying V appears to buy BioActiv wholesale and they re-bottle it.

Yes, I also use the e-address "biofuels.work*yahoo.com" when I found myself immersed in biodiesel & biofuel research & testing.
My biogas work may be found in Google. Search for "home biogas" or "home biogas system."
