Anyway, I got the contact info for TARTARINI kits... they have what you want... don't be shocked at the prices though.

is it advisable to have a brand new car (tucson) converted right away. I was thinking of tartarini. Is there a comparable brand for this type of lpg conversion. tartarini costs 60k + evat.

    thanks

For me, its not advisable to convert a brand new car. You lose your engine warranty. But its your car so its your call.

An alternative to Tartarini is the conversion kits from Turkey. They offer similar kits, not sure on quality and performance. I think they are cheaper than Tartarini. They are located beside Big Berts Ortigas.

    gud am!

napaconvert ko na yun spacewagon(carb) using tartarini kits. pano nga pala ang tamang pag switch from one fuel to another? ex. from gas to lpg---kelangan ko ba i neutral (shut all valves) para maubos gas sa carb hangang tumigil makina tapos tsaka ko ilpg. and pag lpg naman ganun din neutral muna hangan tumigil tapos switch sa gas. hindi ba nakakasira ng makina pag nauubos gas?

    thnx

Di mo kailangan ubusin ang gas sa carb. Just switch from one fuel to another. May valve na magcocontrol ng fuel delivery.

I just switch directly over between gasoline & lpg with the engine running. The problem with switching from LPG to gasoline is a few seconds of the engine running rich (because of leftover lpg in the system).

hindi ba nakakasira ng makina pag nauubos gas?
i dont think so, it would make it hard to start the engine again on LPG though.

Carb engine conversions costs around P20k to P24k depending on who you get your LPG conversion kit from and how good you can negotiate for a discount.

The LPG tank is mounted in the trunk.

those "donut" tanks will take the place of your spare tire. Plus side is your trunk will have the same space. Down side, no full size spare.

What's really the difference between the italian EFI kits and the korean EFI kits aside from the price?

are there really differences in performance, workmanship, efficiency?

The basic kits (type 2) are similar to each other including efficiency are basically carb type kits with a box to disable/enable the engines gasoline fuel injectors. Engine performance is slightly lower when running on LPG as compared to running on gasoline. It is noted that this kit type is a bit sensitive to the condition of the engine's air filter so regular cleaning of the filter is recommended to maintain optimum performance/efficiency.

The more expensive kit (type 4) is a true LPG-EFI system which works nearly the same way as your engine's factory fuel injectors. It has individual fuel injectors to deliver the "correct" amount of LPG fuel to each cylinder. This type provides a slight performance improvement when running LPG while providing the same level of fuel consumption. I assume this type of kit is less sensitive to the condition of the engine's air filter.

The only main difference between the italian and korean LPG kits is the filling connector.

ghost, morethan a year na lpg sa kotse ko, hindi ko pa pina-drain, okay pa rin naman takbo ng kotse ko, humaharurot at lumilipad... kailangan pa ba iyan?

If you have achieved 10,000km on your system, I think I read somewhere that its recommended to drain the LPG converter of any water that has accumulated in there. I dunno about the tank itself though. I would ask at NAIADSS when I would pass by their area.

The drain plug is the bolt/screw under the converter. It might be difficult to reach depending on how it was installed in your engine bay.

My computations assumes around 200km per week for a year to achieve roughly 10,000km.

so, basically, there's no difference in the italian or the korean kit except for the connector?

    ano kaya mas reliable?

i was thinking of fitting one on my samurai.

Well, I haven't seen one blow up on the road yet due to installation or factory defects.

The Korean version would leave a smaller hole in your body as compared to the italian kit. But the italian filler is "flatter" than the korean type. The korean version is easier to place inside the gasoline filler hatch/cover on a typical sedan. The italian version might need to be placed on the fender itself if the area around the gasoline filler is not wide enough.
