[quote=ssalonga;985326]BTW, i just came from Green Autogas and inquired about your application, Sharon Siy the proprietor quoted an Aldessa venturi kit for the 3K/4K engines at P23T installed. It shouldn't take more than a whole day to do......
where is this green autogas? tnx a lot steve

eysh,
Green Autogas has closed out its Julia Vargas outlet and will be relocating to Mindanao Avenue in QC by next week. Meanwhile, I believe she is working out of her residence garage. You might try these celfone numbers:
0917 854 0524 or try 0917 546 7000 and ask for Sharon. Tell her steve gave you the numbers.....
regards,
steve

what a coincidence, i just read the previous threads and i found out na ***y daw si sharon he he joke lang naku baka maraming magtext kay sharon nyan!
thanks for bothering steve.
Thanks for the heads-up Steve... I'll take pics and find out for sure when I go there.
I have an extra manifold that I can use if they really need to do some boring to install injectors, but I'd rather not... it lacks the variable intake hardware that gives my car its midrange grunt (it's from a 626).
So far, this is still somewhere between pie-in-the-sky and actual conviction-to-buy. I'm 100% sure I want it, 80% sure it will be practical, but only 30% sure I can pay for it.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Well, in that case you should opt for the vapor sequential injectors so that the variable intake remains useful.
all things considered, I would recommend you keep your Lynx as it is. Look for a cheaper older car you really like and turn that into an econo-car for those around town errands - keep the Lynx for your long trips and social occassions.
meanwhile, enjoy the researching......
regards,
steve
I don't think sharon would mind the calls if they were really looking for a good conversion kit! After all, she is quite a business woman who knows her stuff! I think her new place in Mindanao is also an autogas filling station!what a coincidence, i just read the previous threads and i found out na ***y daw si sharon he he joke lang naku baka maraming magtext kay sharon nyan!
thanks for bothering steve.
cheers!

I was thinking of doing that, but I'm already maintaining three or four different vehicles. Mom pays for the Crosswind, yes, but I'm the one who sends it for service... I also have an AD Resort and a Hilander that need loving... but they're not personal cars... I use them sometimes, but I bought the AD Resort for deliveries, and the Hilander is in terrible condition.
I'd like a small commuter, but I'd rather put that money into a car I'm already comfortable with and dedicated to keeping for the long-haul.

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
since last time medyo nagaral ako ng EFI and been troubleshooting EFI engines na din. bale yung sa injectors parang gate lang siya with variable opening. i guess with the same pressure of LPG(or required pressure of LPG to run like gasoline) running across the rail, magagamit niya din yung injectors used for gasoline and then magagamit din mga sensors for feedback na din. i guess trabaho na ng kasamang ecu yung trafficing ng fuel whether it is to be gasoline or LPG.
mas simpler conversion nga ito as compared with drilling a hole in your intake manifold. meron nga din kasi ako narinig na conversion that uses a seperate injector and drilling in the manifold is required.
pero curious nga ako sa capability ng ECU that comes with the kit. para din kayang afc with particular a/f mix at different RPM points? pano tuning nito?
hindi pa din kasi namin napush yung isang sentra namin lagyan ng SGI LPG kasi hindi pa tapos yung taxi franchise.![]()
and after a few months of research and testing.. ito find ko regarding our taxis equipped with carb type LPG kit.
1. versus an SGI kit.. in theory, since ala pa ako SGI equipped taxi, masmaganda ang SGI since ang pasok ng fuel (LPG) is based na din on sensors particullarly your TPS (talagang according ito sa depth ng tapak mo sa pedal)
as opposed to carb type kits, umaasa ito sa vacuum ng engine wherein the adjustments to the kit is fixed unlike for an SGI kit where your injectors vary the opening for LPG flow.
2. The adjustments made to the LPG kit vary upon the condition of the engine. compression nito, then yung opening para sa air flow. what we did experience was valve seals rupturing though. since taxi drivers mostly go for taxis na matitipid ang LPG, tune ang kits with a lean mix. which(as ive researched and experienced) mainit talaga. lalo na kung bibigatan mo pa ang paa mo sa throttle, chances are mas lalo pa magiging lean ang mix sa biglaang tapak ng pedal. ganun pa naman ang mga taxi lalo na't nagaagawan ng pasahero.
Pero so far maganda naman ang experience namin with LPG kits. More than 1yr na rin. That is since aug of 2006. We've had multi crashes and 2 accidents na medyo matindi na pati bubong e nawala na sa porma. One hit a mmda barrier sa may malapit sa airport area. Pero never experience explosions. Puro chismis lang asar! Then wala pa din kaming mga medical related experience ng bad effects of it. Yung garahe namin is semi closed siya and wala pa naman tama sakin.
I have yet to see one explode. Hay sana lang yung magcocomment ng masyado regarding LPG e yung may experience talaga para hindi nakakaasar basahin. Puro walang factual basis kasi e.![]()
I used to hear a lot of chismis from our drivers kaya napatagal talaga kami sa conversion nun kasi naging hesitant si itay because of that. Matagal tagal na din kasi ang LPG kits dito sa pinas e. more than 4-5yrs na rin ata.
bale 64 units of taxi with LPG kits. pang 65th namin is SGI sana. and still adding.
peace!![]()
we can all provide stories to tell and i can assume na heresay and theories without basis yung mga cnabi mo not unless you can provide us some proofs like news photos or police reports. di ba sabi mo bumangga yung mga taxis nyo? so sana na news o kahit papano may reports regarding sa incident na yonkc nga sabi mo mulit crashes and 2 accidents na matindi? so those incidents should be documented dapat for insurance purposes.
pics of 2 of our taxi's with one major front collision with a mmda barrier and another with front and rear collision(sandwich).
