This is where we have our taxis installed with the Macro Kit.

paolorenzo: ok lang naman ang Naiadss kit. Na sa tuner lang yan and condition ng engine. IME

Thanks Dencio. Ok yan, very near our place (Greenwoods). Daan ako next weekend.

I meant no offense to NAIADSS or its users ha. I'm just not too comfortable if their tuning technics only involves screwdrivers and wrenches. I think a computer should be involved, or at least specialized diagnostic tools.

I just came back from Green Autogas sa Ortigas Home Depot. 27k yung EFI Venturi kit. 50k ang quotation sa akin for the SGI kit. Sila yung meron Turkish supplier, Aldesa. Got their website:

hehe! i guess that's how i tune our taxis. using a 17" wrench, a screw driver, and my hand to more or less tell me the a/f mix. i tune it at 3k rpm approx. so it's air coming in(adjustable via size of hole in plate), and the LPG with the valve clearance at .008in for the 2E engine(XL corolla) and TDC timing. (it's more reliable that way IME).

additionally, the carb type kit is sensitive that sometimes it needs adjustments(on taxis anyway say about 3-6months). so i guess ok lang naman na i dont have the high end equips. (ganda nga sana if i had an O2 sensor equipment na naaattach sa muff para accurate) anyway, happy naman ang driver with the consumption so we dont bother.

pwede naman yan, punta ka ng smoke emission test center to get the emission values(HC, CO, etc). bigay ka lang tip or something.

whereas if it was an SGI kit, ive seen sa macro na gumagamit sila talaga ng laptop for monitoring. im guessing lahat ganito ang tuning technic at the least for SGI kits.

pag sa carb type kasi hindi yan kamukha na pwede mong lagyan ng SAFC para tuned talaga ang a/f mix per rpm point. very linear lang ang carb type LPG kits IME. it's either you have it lean on idle then as rpm goes up, nagri-rich sya, or rich sya on idle then nagli-lean as rpm goes up, or stable ang a/f mix on most rpm range. or atleast close.. IME.

Oo eh. It was working yesterday. Pero parts yung nakita ko sa site, not an entire kit.

*dencio1976, ok na sa akin yung meron O2 sensor na ikakabit sa muffler (emission testing), para yung tuning nila will have measured results, hindi lang hula.

Hey ssalonga and paolorenzo, If you guys are interested in other turkish brands, Here are the others I've found:

Ultragas brand is distributed by this guy -
    Mike Lim: (0922) 823 1270

    Then there's Ekogas:
    412 Mayon St., Quezon City
    tel: 781 1622

Personally I havent been able to check all of them. Madali hanapin website ng Ekogas, kayang isearch ng google. Yung ultragas nahanap ko rin website pero pahirapan. Di ko nga naisulat yung address eh.

DIY pala gagawin mo... if you're buying the parts separately, you might need to go with a venturi system. The parts of the different brands' venturi system can theoretically by used interchangeably. Sa SI hindi na, because of differences with their computers' programming.

    Webmeister.

DIY nga and actually I already have an IMPCO CA125 mixer installed, I just need the tank and multivalve set installed. Most of the front end is already installed, all IMPCO parts.

BTW, do you think the locals will sell me just the vapor injectors and regulator? I already have a programmable EFI-ECU ready to go.

Well, you'll just have to call them up. It sounds like you're making a sys with SI. Galing ha! I think the tanks we have here are manufactured by Asephil Manufacturing.

    Asephil Manufacturing Corporation:
31 Merlaco Ave., Pasig City (Beside Renaissance Tower)
    Tel: 631-3363 to 66, 631-3442, 633-7780
    email: asephil*info.com.ph

Meron din akong nakikita na may tatak na "FMC" whice I think stands for "Forming Metals Corporation"

I heard though na for the vapor injectors, we need to drill holes sa intake manifold or something pa daw. Kaya yung system na may SI takes longer to install...

If you go through this thread there was someone who wanted to resell the LPG system in his car, baka you can buy some of the components you need from him

I read on the net of diesel engines converted to LPG. Is this for real? How does it work?

Sa narinig ko before in one news program, the system mixes lpg with diesel at 30% LPG with 70% diesel. Kaso lang the conversion costs P70k.

Total has also started converting tricycles, which I've always known is possible. Just check out the tuk-tuks of thailand

Would this be better than having 20% biodiesel mixture? I wonder what happens to fuel consumption and power?

Trykes on LPG would be great on the environment but the cost would probably be too prohibitive for drivers/operators.

well, using a diesel/LPG mix would result in better COST savings since LPG costs less than diesel.

I am not so sure about the power since diesel gives better torque than gasoline engines.

I am sensing long term bank or government subsidized payments for those trike operators switching to LPG as fuel of choice.

Well, yes since our diesel is biodiesel, then it would have a blend of lpg, and biodiesel.

Economically though, Biodiesel is still more expensive to produce compared to crude oil diesel. The reasons we are advocating it is that we produce it locally (no dollar outflow + increased jobs) and that it has less toxic emissions. LPG is still a lot cheaper than diesel as of the moment.

My dream is to use the gas produced from our garbage and human excreta waste. The garbage collector truck in the World Expo in Japan featured this kind of technology.

If we can liquify this gas, Ild call it "LMG" ("Liquified Methane Gas"), then load it into our LPG powered cars, I think that would be great Even better than CNG (fossil fuel). Of course water-powered, solar-powered , or fission powered (as seen in Back to the Future II), cars would be even better . Haaaay, bawal bang mangarap sa thread?
