It should fit your galant unless sobrang sikip ng engine bay mo. They can fit it in a car with AT or MT. I've seen BMW 5 series, Ford F150, Chevy Optra, Tamaraw FX, Avanza and the usual Corollas and Sentras converted to LPG. So far the only cars that cant or at least not easily converted are Chevy Venture and E150. Both due to tight engine space.

AFAIK, Toyota and Nissan offer converted units straight from the dealer. Or is it dealer installed LPG kits? Anyway, if its from the dealer/CASA, you should have full warranty. But if you have your car converted outside of the casa bye bye engine warranty.

Yes, I think. It depends if there is enough room for the parts to be installed.

or would they fit it into an automatic transmission na car?
Yes... my car with LPG is an automatic.

Simplest way, call or visit one of the more popular LPG kit installers.

What is the displacement of your Camry? 2.0L 2.4L or 3.0L? 2.0L engines would cost roughly P35K to convert using the same type of kit I have in my car. SGI LPG kits cost much much more.

A sales rep from Quezon Ave told me they do conversions. Did not get details. Better call them to confirm.

    Hi guys,

What's the best LPG conversion kit for my 1.6 Lancer with EFI? Where do you suggest I get it, and how much will it cost me?

Of course "best" doesnt necessarily mean "most expensive"

The better type of kit would be the SGI type (Sequential Gas Injection) of auto-LPG system. So far all of the local LPG installers have this type of kit. They do differ in price as much as 10K between installers. I canvassed a couple of months ago the prices for such. NAIADSS is the cheapest of the more reputable installers I have canvassed. The price quoted was around P54k if I remember it correctly.

Just comparing, my current LPG kit is the carb type with an EFI switch module. It is cheaper, costing only P28K when I had it installed but I think those kits are no longer available.

To my knowledge, NAIADSS have two installation sites. One is at Pioneer St, Mandaluyong near Robinson's Pioneer. The second one is at EDSA near corner Taft Ave. in Pasay (somewhat between Taft & Roxas).

a month ago i called up Naiadss regarding the buyback of the LPG Kits installed in my car, sadly i forgot to write down his name. Anyway, he said that they do buyback the said product and told me to bring the car. after a couple of days i visited their office at sheridan and told them about the buyback, unfortunately no one knew about the buyback and they just pass me around and one of the sales agent said that they don't offer buyback... then i asked about the SGI kits that they offer, and asked them for an upgrade, the sales agent said that they don't do upgrade, if i wanted the'll remove the old lpg kits (with charge) and replace it with the SGI kits... grabe, kalokohan talaga...

kainiss they just f*#$%^g wasted my time for nothing... sarap

i'm no expert in automotive, or with regards to LPG but i know it is possible to upgrade, the tank, the filler nozzle, the electricals, the copper tubings will remain, and the regulator, the venturi and the ecu will be replace... how hard can that be... afterwared they can re-sell the replaced parts since it is still in a very good condition for a profit...

So i called up Tartarini, and spoke to one of the agent... he said that he'll find me a buyer for the kits, and in return i'll have my car install their SGI kits.

BTW, this is OT but how is your CEL?

SGI kits offer better fuel economy and power than carb type LPG kits. So if your engine is EFI, it would be nice to have a SGI kit. One of the problems of the carb-type LPG kit is it's sensitivity to changes to air pressure or even to the condition of your engine's air filter. A SGi kit would also eliminate the potential blow-back potential with carb type kits.

LPG makes the engine run cooler than gasoline. Of course, if your LPG kit is not properly adjusted to give the proper air-fuel ratio, your engine can run lean and cause internal damage.

For Expedition conversions, where do they put the LPG tank? How many liters capacity whould that be, because an Exp tank is more than a hundred liters, right? One should put it an approximate capacity so as not to severely affect the vehicle range.
