Yes, LPG kits are available for SUV's. They're very popular in Australia. Locally, I've yet to see one.

There are some Honda CRVs running with LPG conversion kits. Current limitations for LPG conversions are the space for the LPG tank and vaporizer unit (located in the engine bay).

Is your W123 a 280E or is it carb type? I'm considering the purchase of a 280E and it would be great if it can be converted to LPG.

    thanks!

    yes, Liquefied Petroleum Gas

    2. Do they install a new fuel line for the lpg and what material is it?
if I remember it corrently, its copper tubing.

    3. When does lpg change from liquid to gas is this inside the fuel line or before entering the comustion chamber?
The liquid LPG enters a "vaporizer" which turns the liquid to vapour form (high pressure liquid to low pressure gas). The vapour form LPG is then piped to the engine's intake along with the air.

    Thanks
    you're welcome.

    1. saw a FX tank was installed sa between the 2nd row seats and jump seats. maliit lang yung tank can't recall how many liters.
    2. alam ko may vent ito palabas ng kotse. Amoy panis na itlog ang lpg.
    3. MAy ilang companies na naginstall nito. Ambi malapit sa ABSCBN, Naiadss sa Pioneer cor Sheridan yata, Macro di ko alam kung saan at may ilan pang magbubukas. basahin mo na lang yung buong tjread at nandoon yung info. BTW Petron ay hindi na daw nagcoconvert.
    4. Refilling stations Seaoil sa edsa, Petron sa Mindanao Ave, Buendia, C5, Shaw, at ilan pang di ko maalala kung saan, CAT gas sa Visayas Ave at Araneta Ave. May adapter para pwede kang magkarga sa ibatibang gasolinahan.

    ===============

    1.saan ilalagay yung tank?
Under the rear jump seats or rear cargo area. The smaller tank can fit under the jump seat of a FX or fabricate a seat on top of a 60Liter tank as some of the FX taxi units do. The tank is very strong, you can have four or more people standing on top of it with no problems.

2.hindi ba poisonous kung if in case mag leak?may amoy b yan para malaman kung nag leak?
The LPG used is the same as the cooking LPG so the chemical added to make it smell like rotten eggs is still there. If there is a leak, you can smell it.

3.kahit saan ba pwede mag paconvert like sa banawe?Korean company
Have it installed by a certified installer. example: NAIADSS and MACRO.

kahit saang refilling station pwede?ex.. pag petron nagconvert sa petron lng pwedeng mag pa refill..
yes, you can have it refilled in any auto-LPG refilling station because they will have adapters to fit the nozzle. So a NAIADSS system can be refilled by Petron, etc.

Tanong lang po sa mga naka autogas na. Napansin niyo ba kung mas mainit ang engine when using LPG? Thanks in advance.

If anyone is interested here is Macro's contact number 807-4313. Sa Alabang pala office nila at sa Pasig naman yung installation.

I inquired about converting my Cefiro. They said they use a kit from Italy with its own ECU. BUT they will be bypassing the EFI so in effect parang carb na! I lost interest at this point. The guy I talked to did not know how much it will cost be he promised to get back to me.

looking at the temperature gauge wala pagbabago... ngunit mayroon ako nakita sa internet tungkol diyan sa issue... (lift ko galing sa net iyan)

LPG is a dry burning fuel and does not contain any wear reducing additives as petrol does. The lack of valve lubrication plus the higher combustion temperature of LPG often results in premature failure of exhaust valves due to a phenomenon known as “Valve Seat Recession”. Then the cylinder head will have to be repaired or replaced.

of course concern ako sa ganyan na issue kaya nagawa ko everytime mag empty na ang lpg, gagamitin ko petrol at least ma lubricate kahit papano iyun engine particularly iyun valve... may additives din ako nilagay at nakahalo sa fuel ko recently iyun nabibili sa handyman store sa robinson iyun so called "lead substitute" i don't know if it works or not...

i saw a product pero nasa australia iyun "flash lube valve saver system" i don't know kung totoo iyan or hindi...

sino kaya taga australia dito? patanong naman please...

I suggest, when you quote from another site, kindly provide a link to that site as well.

Anyway, VSR mainly affects older engines which require leaded gasoline. Older engines use leaded gasoline to "lubricate" and protect certain parts, like the exhaust valve seats. More modern engines have hardened valve seats, especially those engines that can burn unleaded gasoline.

So this concern is only applicable to engines that CANNOT use unleaded gasoline.

nope. engine temperature guage still at the same place. Of course, the guage isn't that accurate though, it will almost just an indicator if you have an overheat situation or "normal" range of temp.
