it's also an intriguing item to bring along in your next family outing: drive an lpg car, cook/bbq your food with the lpg from the car :D

NAIADSS claim that they supply PETRON's conversion kits. The only proprietary is the filling nozzle. Even for that, NAIADSS claim they have an adapter to fill those kinds.Originally Posted by badkuk
basically, yes.so you'd essentially be dependent on them for the maintenance of the lpg kit?
From how it looks to me, the only thing that can fail in the LPG conversion kit is the LPG electric pre-heater. Otherwise its pretty much maintenance free.i hope i don't sound like i'm dissing the LPG thing; i'd sure want to see more lpg cars on the streets, coz then the talyers might think about offering lpg system repair/maintenance na rin

doesn't matter... as long as its gasoline fed engine.Originally Posted by pitbullz

ang tanong ...
how much yung electric pre heater pag nasira???
or you have to buy the whole kit again??
i was thinking of installing an lpg kit on my revo, but the thought of an lpg tank inside the car makes me nervous. especially with kids around. parang delikado pa rin even with their assurances that its very safe. i was thinking maybe i can install it on the roof inside a roof box or something. para di naman masagwa tignan. any comments?
hmm...mounting it on the roof might cause siginificant drag, lalo't kung nasa highway. also, the tubings/connectors are more exposed to the elements, baka mabilis masiraOriginally Posted by bizarro
I assume you just need to replace the pre-heater. NAIADSS did mention they have complete stock of parts if needed.Originally Posted by buknoy2002
yup... it could be installed on a expedition but the preheater will be a bigger model than what is used for smaller engines. I'm not sure of the price difference though.Originally Posted by altec
for safety reasons, I don't think mounting it outside is safer. It would be more prone to damage and exposure. It would be safer mounted inside the vehicle but in the sealed compartment with a venting tube to the outside.Originally Posted by bizarro

hello folks, this is the first time i will make my post, and hopefully not the last. i've been following the forum for quite sometimes now and its very informative and helpful... sometimes palipas oras lang para ma-update kung ano latest sa automotive. anyway, i want to contribute something, so here goes...
i've purchase a chevrolet optra 1.6LS last february 2004, and i was quite satisfied with it, full features for lesser price compared to vios, city, etc... i bought the car at chevrolet libis, pasig. the car have some problems, but i think almost all brand new cars do have some problem one way or another. mine is the battery problem, blurred headlights, burnout halogen bulb, noise (minute kalampag) front right wheel, and the alarm which goes off every morning... all of them were replaced or fixed for free without charge (under warranty kasi eh)... except the alarm which they cannot find the problem... kaya parang alarm clock ko na siya na tutunog tuwing umaga...(sob)
Can you pls post pics of the tank and cover you had fabricated. Also, can you post a pic of the refueling port.
they bored a hole on the body for the lpg refill inlet? looks maganda naman ang pagkagawa
thank you for posting this sir chuaed! balitaan nyo naman kami every now and then about the performance B)
