Well, I'd guess it is more feasible for Clean Fuel to operate the gas stations because of their size. When i was talking with Xoom, they intend to maintain the operations of the conversion and maintenance, and they're still steadily converting vehicles on a weekly basis from what i see.
Thanks a lot Nick/ Xoom AutoGaz for resurrecting my Korean Closed-Loop system! Salamat din kina Reggie & Marvin (hope I got their names right) for the excellent trouble-shooting! Very good job on my car yesterday.
My Eroom system was installed in my 2002 Ford Lynx in 2007. No problems for three years and I was absolutely happy with the fuel savings and the 'almost-at-par-with-gasoline' performance. At that time, the system cost just a little over Php20k and I was able to recover the initial cost only in a matter of months specially when gas prices were almost hitting Php60 per liter. Problem came sometime 2010 when I loaded lpg not from the my regular stations -- turned out to be dirty. Nasira andar sa lpg. Eroom was already closed at that time and I was forced to rely on the usual lpg station mechanics. Kapa-kapa ang siste ng adjustment, hindi rin nabalik sa dati, so i decided to de-commission the system.
Lately, nagkaron ng budget for a possible upgrade to an SGI system and I approached Nick yesterday. Credits to Nick for not being a hard-sell. Sensing that I was hesitant to spend Php28k for a front end kit, he called Reggie to check whether there's anything wrong with my system. Ibinalik ni Reggie yung doughnut adapter, pinaandar, pugak-pugak, konting adjustment sa vaporizer & buga ng lpg, ABA NABUHAY! Ang pino ng andar kahit pagsipa ng aircon compressor. Marvin checked the emission and accompanied me in the test drive.
A few surprising observations: 1) no part was replaced -- meaning these lpg kits are very durable; 2) my system automatically turns off the electric fuel pump when shifting to lpg, no need for a manual switch which we thought was needed; 3) I'm now running on three-year old lpg stored in my tank since 2010, 1/3 ang laman nya when I decommissioned the system -- hindi pala napapanis ang lpg!
Because of these developments, I'm now seriously considering a next project: an LPG-powered Ford SportTrac, converted of course by XOOM!
hi sirkosero, you do have a valid concern but to keep you at ease; conversion is a secondary part of our operations. We have b2b business with gas companies on supply of equipment which is why we decided to let go of operating stations and just concentrate on our core trading business. As what I told Vinj, even if conversions are slowing down we are still committed in keeping the business to continually build the brand and service you our customers.
Thanks sir milecord. Your good reviews and recommendations keep us committed to our goals. I'm happy we were able to help you sort through the issue with your Linx. We look forward to converting your Ford SportTrac![]()
