Anyway, if you have done enough back reading, the most important way is the ignition timing. With LPG you can advance it a lot more. But if you switch to gasoline, it will cause the engine to knock.

In my experience, the engine's stock setting is good enough.

You might also want to check out the Sentra N16 model. My brother has one also running on Auto-LPG. It's the Sentra model Nissan Phil has been selling since 2002 until now.

Currently I would suggest XOOM Auto-LPG (Timog in QC). It is a refilling station as well as an auto-lpg installation shop. Just mention to Nick that "ghosthunter" recommended you.

    Contact info: Nick Go
    Mobile Landline: (02)5067734

    Reason why not others?

NAIADSS seems to have gone out of business. They used to have a station and install shop at Pioneer St in Mandaluyong but it's not there anymore (site under construction, dunno what is being built there).

As for GREENFUEL, I have no contact with them in months. I don't know their current financial status but since their business is only in the auto-lpg installation, the "dry-spell" in between 2008 and 2010 kinda was hard on business.

You can still try contacting GREENFUEL as their contact info in the list should still be working.

the last time i went there (a month ago) for tune up may nagpapaconvert pa. yun nakita ko ay fortuner, ford e50 (un malaking van), yun bagong labas ng kia na pang taxi. sabi non mechanic madame daw sila nakapila pa since mahal na ulit ang gasolina. napansin ko din naglagay na ulit sila ng signboard don sa gate and don sa kanto ng street papasok sa kanila. date wala yun e

    scenario:
    1. use lpg for several days (warm up lng un gasoline) - cold start rpm issue happens.
    2. use gasoline exclusively for a day or 2 - cold start rpm goes back to normal even if you use lpg for couple of days (after the exclusive gasoline run)
    3. went to baguio and use lpg all thru out except on the "city driving" on baguio - issue never happens pag start ko the following day.

i haven't experience/feel any unusual sa takbo ng makina both on gas and lpg. engine runs smooth. kahit patakbuhin ko siya na andon pa sa state ng mababa un rpm niya (900 but engine is still cold) ok man siya. hindi siya un namamatay or parang mamatay.

my unit is innova 2009 sgi from greenfuel converted feb 2010 and currently runs 2200km on lpg. current odo is 22+k. yun fuel filter ko hindi pa napapalitan (i know 40k ata bago palitan ito). pinalinisan ko lang sa shell station. air filter, spark plug kakapalit pa lng non 20k pms. pinasilip ko sa kasa sabi ok man daw ecu ko. wala man daw fault na nakita.

ano kaya issue nito? may long term effect ba ito sa engine ko or hayaan ko na lng since pag gas mode hindi siya nag occur?

    sorry masyado mahaba paliwanag. TIA

I have a similar problem before. It was traced to a couple of defective sensors on the engine. One was the temp sensor used by the engine to detect if the engine was reached normal operating temp. The sensor would tell the ECU that the engine was warm already even if the engine was still actually cold resulting in a rough idle on cold starts.

The sensor was functional enough not to throw a "fault" but defective enough to give the wrong info.

Best to have your car checked by a competent auto shop before you start replacing anything.

If you are in the San Juan area, you can try dropping by SPEEDYFIX.

I inquired with Greenfuel, Manila Autogas and XOOM about installing an LPG kit on a Nissan Sentra Series 3/4 Ex-saloon. Greenfuel and Manila Autogas so far are the only ones who have replied and they both recommended the SGI kits even for a relatively aged vehicle with EFI. SGI kits are more durable, reliable and offer better performance overall.

I'm more inclined on getting a Sentra Series 3 Ex-saloon and converting it to LPG (given that all other systems are 100%). I've been trying to search for feedback on the GA14DE with LPG, but so far no luck.

Good news to abandoned EROOM kit owners! Mike Tagle is the new "Mike" in Green Fuel (so he is no longer with Denso or Vogas). He has the EROOM diagnostic reader, and offers continued tuning services for EROOM kits. Check out Green Fuel's contact numbers on the LPG Installers thread.

Green Fuel also has the Launch ECU reader/resetter, so they also offer computerized diagnostics for almost all EFI cars.

My EROOM kit will celebrate its 3rd birthday on 5/22, and it's still tuned perfectly.

One of the LPG owner's manual recommended to replace the LPG hoses every 20,000km. One of my mechanic friends also feels that the hoses seem a bit brittle and he has heard that these needed to be replaced at some frequency (mine is a greenfuel kit with 23K). Has anyone changed their hoses? Is this really required after 20,000km?

I had to replace my hose from the vaporizer to the filter to the injectors. Got brittle as this was exposed to heat from my exhaust manifold and i have to disconnect this hose whenever i replace my spark plugs. This was after around 50,000 LPG kms (im at 55,000kms with my LPG kit already as of today).

Other parts i had to change was the filter (once a year) and my vaporizer (last year at 40,000 LPG kms) as it wasnt circulating my coolant well enough and causing a backflow.

Thought about getting silicone hoses for the parts near the hot area... is it worth it?

How much does it cost to replace those hoses at GreenFuel? My hose from evaporator going to injector rail looks bulging near the evaporator side and I think this needs replacement by now. Can these be retrofitted with copper tubes and just a small hose near the injector rail? The heat from the evaporator effect the lifespan of the hose.

I am considering on adding a vacuum gauge for my car to monitor my driving style and possibly save fuel in the process. While thinking about this, I realized it would be better if I can also replace my LPG fuel indicator as well. I'd like to know if it would be possible to replace the fuel indicator with a gauge type? My existing LPG switch only has 4 LEDs lit up when it's full tank and would gradually disappear one at a time right after the first light goes out. I'd like to get a gauge with the graduation instead of having lights. Would this be possible? If yes, will the mechanical or electric gauge work? Thanks.

recently acquired a car equipped with a lpg kit. its the one that injects the lpg at the throttle body and not at the injectors. my problem is im having a back fire every now and then. sometimes if the backfire occurs the engine does not die and most of the time it dies. what do you think is the problem? any recommended shop in the south? im from cavite.
    many thanks!

Backfiring might be caused by the ignition timing being too advanced.

BTW, backfire may damage your MAF/MAP (air) sensor.

Hello - questions lang po. Pansin ko lang kasi sakin na parang delayed yun response ng kit pag nakahang yun sasakyan sa inclined (like sa indoor mall parking or fly over) tapos nakafull stop then mag arangkada sa 1st gear. Parang sa unang tapak mo sa gas parang delayed yun response. pag naka gas naman ako ok man siya e parang walang gap in between. is it normal? mine is innova m/t greenfuel sgi.

so far ok man talaga takbo ng kit e pero ito lang yun madalas ko napapansin.

    TIA.
