In our cars, we had the gasoline cycle disabled but we make sure the gasoline in the tank is enough for three or four weeks. This is important if your gasoline has E10 because E10 gasoline spoils in about 4 weeks.

Gasoline without E10 can stay "fresh" for over four months in the car's fuel tank.

Before when we have the gasoline cycle enabled, you can feel the engine shake a bit more during the few seconds.

Clutch adjustment has nothing to do with Auto-LPG use. If it's time for you to have it adjusted, just have it done at the place where you have your INNOVA serviced.

updates on my 09 innova m/t greenfuel sgi converted 3 weeks ago:

    1. after first fulltank i was able to secure 7.6kml lpg. petrol was 8-8.5 km/l city driving. i think mababa siya kasi perf mode pa, hataw hataw mode and hindi maganda ang idling so napapalakas tapak ko sa gas pedal lage. will go back to my usual light-footed/conservative driving. - satisfied so far

    2. when to GF last week to fix the idling issue. got positive result pero may unting sablay pa din pero hindi na gaya ng dati. - satisfied so far

    3. tried to hit 120kph on slex (3k rpm on 4th gear before changing to 5th) and didn't felt any hesitation. parang smooth ang lpg pag mabilisan ang takbo. - satisfied so far

    4. tried to park sa 2nd level parking ng moa. no significant difference on gas. hatak is same lang. - satisfied so far

    4. pag empty na lpg may auto-switchover ba to gas yun GF kit? kung wala napoprogram ba ito or wala talaga feature unlike the other kits?

so far satisfied. unting fine tuning na lang. baka madala ko sa holyweek sa bikol so dapat good na good na yun kit para magdedemo ako don hehehehe.

Hi Mile2 - is this the one you're refering to Shell Helix HX3 G 20W-50 (red bottle)? its rated as "For vehicles requiring performance specification API SG/CD."
"Petrol engines fitted with conventional carburettors". i think innova requires SL or SM for 20-50 and 15w-40 oil after reading the manual. Is it safe to use this even if manual says SL or SM? or its rated as G since its for LPG also?

    thanks.

Yes it is 20W50 and newly introduced red packaging and on the label it has for LPG cars written on it.

i see. this is the one i saw yesterday sa shell gas station malapit samin (tempted to use this next week) but its api is SG/CD. hindi ba makaharm ang lower API pag ang recommended sa manual is SL/SM?

You can try contacting GREENFUEL and/or XOOM.

As a cheaper alternative, you can also ask about venturi type LPG kits if your car is compatible.

Good day, mga bossing! Just want to ask if anyone is aware of any auto lpg refilling stations in bataan? Anywhere from SCTEX exit in Dinalupihan up to Mariveles, Bataan.

I'm planning on converting to LPG to make long trips from Manila but I can't seem to find any lpg stations along the hiway ... even in Petron stations near the refinery Thanks in advance for your help/insight!

I'm not aware of any auto-LPG stations in those areas, so far i only know Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu and (possibly) Davao as places with auto LPG stations.

I travel out of town often using auto LPG and my car has gone over 500kms without having to switch to gas (i average 11+km/L on highway driving without my roof carrier). Should you encounter running out of LPG, just switch to gas (i did this once only and and it was when i had problems with my LPG vaporizer).

I haven't found any auto-lpg stations that area but you can still use gasoline when your tank of auto-lpg runs out. My tank of auto-lpg can exceed 500km if I drive my car lightly. In fact, I have driven a round trip of Manila-Baguio on a single tank of LPG.

Wow, 500 kms! That's good to hear. I wanted to maximize the roundtrip on LPG for cost savings and thought I might not make the 360 km roundtrip on a donut tank, but maybe it will be good enough ... even if I have to switch to gas sometime on the way back. Thanks for the insight, mga bossing!

How big is your donut tank? ... 50L? It's because my Corolla has a 60L tank.

I'm looking to get at least a 50L donut tank. So assuming 80% capacity max, I get ~40L. I just hope I can average 9km/liter on LPG with reasonable speed & a light foot ;-)

    Hello Marcus,
I asked my contacts regarding stations in Bataan. There are actually 2 stations there. These are the addresses both are LIQUIGAZ
    - 366 Bantayan street san isidro mariveles
    - General services compound, Balanga city govt motorpool (I don't know if this is for public.
Hope this helps you decide on converting!=)
    Happy filling!

Can you also inquire for stations at other non-metro provincial areas so LPG long trippers know where to look, where they go?

As for tank capacity, my say is to go for the largest tank that can fit in your car and still maintain some practical space. I use a 60L cylinder tank in my trunk (Altis) and i still have space for most weekend trips. Should i have extra long vacations, i have a roof carrier with a Thule baggage box (or i just use the family van/SUV) :D
