    Hi.

Normally, the advise i read in the forums is to go one step colder. So, BP6ES would be 'the one step colder plug' in your case.

Going for BP8ES would mean 3 steps colder. Malayo from BP5ES.

Well, from what I read from either NGK or BOSCH website (cant remember which), using a spark plug of the right temp would mean better combustion.

If you are using too hot a plug, the spark plug tips, after a while, get deformed due to excessive temp.

If you are using too cold a plug, you would have carbon fouling ... so mangingitim yung mga spark plug tips after some time. The reason is that lower than ideal engine temp would result in incomplete combustion. Therefore, it will stick to your sparks. Your FC might get worse as well.

Again, based on their advise.. if you are unsure, it is better to err on the side of using a colder plug. If your sparks dont have carbon fouling after a while, then its ok. OTOH, using too hot a plug (resulting in higher than ideal engine temp) might damage your engine in the long run.

If it were me, I'd go for bp6es first. But of course if you're itching to see what happens on using bp8es, I dont see any harm in trying it. But I'd have a spare set of BP6ES plugs with all the necessary tools to change those sparks in the car all the time. Just in case....

BTW, sir Vinj did mention NGK LPG plugs, I think they should be worth trying. Even Bosch has LPG plugs.

sparkplugs does not make your engine run colder or hotter. the terms hot and cold refer to the temperature of the tip of the sparkplug.

Greenfuel doesn't let anyone copy the tuning software.

Hi. i tried the bosch w5dc spark plug which is the equivalent of ngk bp7es or bp8es and i observed that my fuel consumption improved. from an average of 6 to 7 km /liter it is now 9.5km/liter. im so happy i took the risk of installing the colder spark plug. wag nga lang sana masira oto ko. available po ang spark plug na ito sa handyman at waltermart makati. i could have chosen ngk however in my prevoius experience may nabibili ako na fake na ngk spark plugs. doble gastos tuloy ako. but in the event i have to buy ngk spark plugs, saan po kay nakakabili ng plugs for lpg?

Hello ! Good for you. Aside from carbon fouling, wala naman dapat masamang side effects ang colder plug. Re fuel consumption, I guess 6 to 7 km/liter was your previous consumption using LPG. What was your consumption using gas ? Kiko

i dont use gasoline anymore... 100% lpg na ko. but when i was using gasoline i was averaging about 10km/liter for highway driving ang 5 km/l for city driving pero heavy traffic yun. but the normal mileage i get is about 7-8km/liter.

    Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum and new to this site too. Just wanna ask if what's the best kit for converting my Ford expedition 2000 model to LPG. Is there a kit that will last for alot of years? I dont have any idea in auto-lpg kits but I want to learn and be part of the thread!I hope you experts can help me out.=) thank you!

    Bro,
In general all conversion kits perform the same. The most important thing is that you find a shop who is licensed by DTI as well as good in workmanship. a Kit could have good reviews abroad but if an installer here does not do a good job installing it, it won't perform well.

Most kits are similar. The biggest factors in longevity is type of use (traffic or not... traffic heat is bad for the electronics), proper tuning and quality of LPG supply (avoid stations with contaminated LPG).

I totally agree with XOOMaster. Make sure that the shop has a DTI license and it would be good if they have a track record in installations too.

    Hi.

There's a list of lpg installers thread in tsikot.com. You can see from there.

You've indicated your location is in cebu city. I'm not sure if there's any LPG installers there.

    Hello !

There's the open loop kit and the SGI kit. Better consult the installers to see which would work best for you. There's a thread of lpg installers in tsikot. Search for it.

Additionally, you could also read thru this thread. It's very informative. You'll see different feedbacks and experiences from different people. All 200+ pages of it. hehehe

Sir, may i ask how do you use 100% lpg without using gas at cold start? im using emulator and normally i start the engine with gas and switch over to lpg when the engine is warm.

pansin ko lang ngayon hinde smooth ang takbo pag naka gas, ramdam mo yung parang sinok lalo na pag 80kph ang takbo. I already tried to full tank the car and run for 2 weeks kaso i suspect baka may konting problema na injectors (gas) ko.

i plan to bring the car sa servitek para ma check yung mga injectors and do claening ang calibration if needed. anybody experience the same scenario paki share. maraming salamat

I do the same thing with my Corolla equipped with venturi w/ emulator.

I just crank the engine until it starts. There will be a bit more vibration and the power will be a bit down until the engine gets warmer.

Maybe your gasoline have "spoiled"? What gasoline did you use? Is it a E10 blended gasoline?

Another possibility is dirt has clogged your fuel lines. It has happened to me. My car's fuel line from the tank to the engine got clogged full of dirt.

    Good evening mga people!

pwede po ba ako pahelp sa pag pili ng tamang store for converting my Ford Expedition 2000 to auto-lpg. Hindi ko kc alam kung alin ang maayos na store para mapaconvert ko na kotse ko.

    * sana may mga ff.
    1. Quality and safe kit(although all kits are thesame)
    2. Magaling sa pag install nung kit and pagmaintain nung kit
    3. Makati area sana if possible. But kung nasa malayo, ok lang basta magaling
    4. Good price.=)

And sa mga professionals diyan. ask ko lang, hindi ba delikado yung donut type/cylindrical type kung nasa ilalim ng car yung tank ng LPG? baka matamaan ng bato or sumayad or mayupi. Wala kasi ako idea sa LPG kit. Thank you!!

LPG tanks will resist a 9mm bullet. I think they can take a few subsonic pebbles just fine.

LPG tanks are thick gauge metal. Even if you actually manage to dent one on a big rock, it won't punch through. And if you go over a rock big enough to dent your tank, I'd worry more about your engine's oil pan... which it will destroy.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
