Assuming that SGI is vulnerable, what's the technological solution? Frequent visits to the shop for oil draining is a setback, financially at least.
Maybe other SGI - LPG users who don't experience idling and choking problem here can at least give us stations they frequent do fills.

GH is recommending CleanFuel and Total both in Shaw blvd and Mike recommends to me yesterday MegaSavers along E. Rodriguez.

On top of this LPG refilling station should ensure they are dispensing filtered LPG. We need to know which refilling stations has filtration system.

thanks. ganito din ang FC ko, a bit lower on LPG. on highway naman its 20% lower on lpg maski na 80kph lang ang takbo.

agree. sana ma post natin which refilling stations have good and oil free lpg. im using emulator kit does it mean di ko na kailangan problemahin yung small oil contaminants?

    fellow lpg users,
tanong lang, ideally how much distance or how long do we need to run on gasoline everyday to prevent fuel pump/line to stuck up? since 90% of the time we lpg. at the moment i use gasoline in the morning (or every first start) drive for mga 500meters before switch to lpg, or once my temp reached 1/2 whichever comes first.
how do you guys do it? thanks.

in the morning, i run the engine on gasoline (* idle) for 10 minutes before switching to lpg. and in the afternoon (bago retire for the day), i switch back to gasoline before turning off the engine (in preparation for the next day). and on weekends, i use gasoline.

THOUGH if this is done, they should clean your filler unit if the grease transfers there.

BTW, to all tsikoters who have BIONET type filler units, DOE has been cracking down stations who have adapters for Korean filler unit. They have come out with a ruling to only use Italian Type filler unit. We do replacements of filler units if interested! Thanks!
sir clarify ko lang. mine is an eroom kit (korea). so most likely my filler unit is the bayonet type. tama po ba? when you say "adapter", does this mean something is attached to the nozzle to fit someone's filler unit or is this the nozzle itself? kasi dun sa mga napagkargahan ko (naiadss, excel, regasco, total), dalawa fuel hose nung bawat lpg pump at bawat nozzle na nakakabit sa bawat hose ay magkaiba (to fit the respective filler unit). btw, pagkaintindi ko sa nozzle ay yung nasa dulo ng hose na sinasaksak sa filler unit.

Hi abetg, Yes that is correct most likely your filler unit is bayonet type (Korean). When i say Adapter - it is the one attached to the nozzle of the hose to connect to your filler unit. it uses an Italian filler machine shopped to fit korean filler units. We do offer changing your filler units to Italian type if needed. Hope this helps!

[quote=Mile2;1128889]I was at GreenFuel this morning, Mike showed me the oil contaminants coming from my LPG tank after he bleed some LPG vapor from the vaporizer to a white cloth and evidently there's really too much oil.

Did Greenfuel clean the entire system or just the injector rails? How long did it take to clean them? Same thing happened to me this weekend, I went to Subic and was able to do a round trip with roughly 35 L of LPG. After 330 + kms, filled up and after several kms. the engine had hesitations then stalled. Same thing happened the morning after. contaminated siguro ung nakarga or build up sa tank because nasaid ung laman ng tank. Newly changed ung spark plugs and air filter ko and newly tuned LPG system so I'm convinced na contaminated fuel nga. Will visit my installer tomorrow.

Just the injector rail that is failing, it's actually the injector solenoid valves that are getting stuck.

Damnit... di lang diesel at gasolina... pati ba LPG sa Pinas ang pathetic? Aggh.

Haven't experienced it yet, but I'm only filling up in two stations.... (knock on wood).

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Hi guys,

It is said that LPG users can have a longer intervals between oil changes because LPG is cleaner...

So sa ganun, if my oil is regularly changed at 5,000km, kailan ang magandang palit ng oil to maximize our savings?

Im trying out 6,000km with a semi-synthetic... kaya ba ng 8k using multi-grade mineral oil? paano kung semi-synthetic and fully synthetic?

There was also a Camry there this morning with the same problem, and a vios taxi as well.
It was likely my Camry. I brought it to Greenfuel last Saturday morning to have my donut tank replaced from 40L to 55L. I don't think I have the oil contaminants problem. My problem was mostly power loss after about 30 minutes of driving. After the tank replacement, Mike himself did my LPG tuning. And so far, I think they got it! I used the car Saturday, yesterday, and today without any noticeable power loss! Yehey!

Question na lang is kung ok ba FC ko. I'll observe it for 2 or 3 more full tanks and report back.

    Cheers!

Hmmm good question. As for me, I'm not doing anything special. The Greenfuel system I have switches to gasoline for 5 seconds every 15 minutes or so. I think it's to prevent the problem you mentioned. In the morning, like you, I also run on gasoline for 500 meters before auto-switching to LPG.

Sorry for the confusion of oily LPG contaminated vehicles, it was told to me by one of the tech guy there that you are also having the same problem like mine and probably he was referring to one of the problem I had like power loss.

Meron akong nakasabay sa Greenfuel last Satruday who's experienced in LPG. Suggestion nya sakin to use Castrol GTX (?) or something like that. Basta this oil has been designed specifically for LPG and CNG. Maganda daw gamitin at mura pa. He also said that you can opt to replace oil filter every other oil change kasi malinis daw ang LPG.

As for the intervals between oil changes, I think I'll stick to every 5000km. Kasi kahit malinis pa tingnan yung oil after 5000km, nagbabago na daw yung viscosity...

Hey... shout-out to BigMike... thanks for the re-tune... I can actually switch to LPG now when the car is still ice-cold... ...damn these wiggly high performance camshafts were a pain in the butt when we were tuning (even on gasoline). But doing over 190 km/h on LPG is... fun.

Ferman and I will let you know when the cam gears come in... when we retune this sucker, I'm hoping for big power on LPG with this same driveability... we weren't able to demo LPG at the Speedlab trackday, but we're hoping to crush... errh... impress... some of the other guys come next time. ;)

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Hello Samira,
I had mine done at Green Autogas and I am very satisfied. Just check it out as they have done different models of CRVS. Its in Mindanao Avenue near in front of Veterans Golf (opposite side), near Trinoma. There is one crazy CRV owner (model 2008) who had his CRV converted. He tells me he reaches 200km/h highway driving?? Crazy!

OT: dunno... I have seen a Nissan Patrol doing over 200kph on NLEX. As long as the road is straight and no sudden maneuvers, it should be alright.
