    RPXHost,

Can you provide the contact details of the PTT & JW. Seems they're not in GH's list before.

I think they quoted you are the carburated variety. The kit selection really depends on whats in the hood. Did you drop by their shops and let their techs get a look at your car.

GH might give you more info. Deep in this thread are three species. I think those shops present two of them. Personally I'm looking only at the third, the SGI kit, which has its own computer to regulate the flow. SGI is the smartest, but also the most expensive, around 40T. Also, my Suzuki APV can only use SGI, as GreenFuel recommended to me.

I have a feeling they aren't even in Metro Manila.

PROBE TV: LPG: Ligtas na Pamalit-Gasolina?

Note: nothing really new of what was already posted in the LPG thread.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is something about carbon monoxide poisoning:

    http://www.emedicinehealth.com/carbo...ing%20Symptoms

    http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm4849a2.htm

The symptoms in the video might sound familiar...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Are the symptoms linked to LPG use? ... possibly yes due to the improperly tuned engines running on LPG resulting in higher than normal carbon monoxide emissions. The fix is simple, tune the engines and LPG kits to run correctly and this will result in a dramatic cut in CO emissions. Obviously any engine running improperly on LPG or gasoline or diesel will emit more CO and other pollutants.

But even then, taxi drivers who drive for eight hours will still be exposed to higher than normal levels of CO simply by spending more time on the road than other people. It can be termed as a "professional hazard" especially with older taxi cabs with defective aircon fresh air vents which don't close properly or similar circumstances which results in high CO level exposure.

Just finished 1 full tank(toroidal) of LPG... so assuming 32Lit ang full tank and I travel 247 km... so thats 7.7km/l for a Sentra Series 3 a/t... City driving unless you consider commonwealth ave a highway which I pass by only once... What do you think is my gas consumption good or bad?

Btw how would you know na empty na LPG tank mo? What ive noticed is when I switch from gas to LPG my engine dies... Muntik na nga ako mabanga kasi biglang namatay engine while traveling at 40km/hr...

Warning for low fuel na yan. You will also hear mild beep every 5 minutes.

For mine, kabisado ko na. I still could run around 140Km pag nag-start na magblink ang last light. Anyway I always have Petrol as backup.

You can get used to it after several refills

140kms with the last light blinking?!

You got a SGI kit from GreenFuel? I think it's in the programming. In your case, it probably blinks too early. With 140kms, parang half-tank pa yan.

Sa akin mga 220kms ang 47 liters. So pag-nag-blink na, I wouldn't want to drive it for more than 20kms. Pero di pa naman ako nauubusan ng LPG. The EROOM switch as 5 LED lights - red "E", 3 green, and another green "F". Yung red "E" (empty) LED yung nag-b-blink after a while. I have the standard 66-liter cylidrical tank, 50 liters ang max na na-load ko so far.

You should compare your LPG FC vs. your Petrol FC. Expect up to a 10% increase in LPG FC, compared to Petrol. I'm assuming you're using an EROOM kit (based on the roll-call thread)?

Again, if you are indeed using EROOM, you should switch fuel (petrol-to-lpg or vice-versa) when over 2000 RPM. If you're cruising at 40km/hr with your foot off the gas pedal, mamamatay nga yan. You need to rev it when switching.

According to Denso, the auto-switch function will do 2 things:
    - start the car with petrol (tried and tested)
    - automatically switch to petrol, when LPG is empty (never tried this - I always fill up when the red "E" light starts flashing)

EROOM user here. Very satisfied customer.
