I finally took the plunge and had my 2007 Hyundai Tucson A/T converted at Greenfuel.

Nag gas up ako after wards and though the tank is rated at 50 liters, 24+ liters lang nalagay puno na. Bakit kaya.

It would be around 80% fill only, which means 40liters lang ang puede nong ikarga. Usually GreenFuel will fill your tank around 8 liters only for tuning purposes.

Amount of liters fill sometimes varies from pump to pump. I also have 50 liters tank and sometimes I can fill around 42 liters the most.

Does that mean that for non-SGI kits, there is a power loss when they are using petrol?

I was under the assumption that the power loss occurs when one is using LPG (for non-SGI kits) and that when you shift back to petrol you regain your usual HP.

Well, there is an increase in vacuum pressure in the intake manifold due to the presence of the venturi-mixer. Although I haven't actually measured the difference on a dyno, my intake manifold pressure gauge detects the difference. It is my assumption that it should translate to some HP losses.

BTW, the difference in pressure is mainly at the upper range of the engine RPM so lower end engine power is NOT affected.

GH, I am using an SGI kit. Power is the same as Gasoline even on climbs and FC is good. Redman7 claims he has more power on LPG than Gasoline but I am very happy with having exact feel as Gasoline. I guess I am not much of a speed freak. Hehehe.

It is possible to get slightly more power from LPG than gasoline but you will have to re-tune your engine to optimize it for LPG. That means advancing your ignition timing about 10 degrees more than gasoline setting and increasing the compression ratio slightly. Unfortunately those kinds of mods would make your engine unable to use gasoline smoothly anymore.

Anyways, are you aware of Valve Seat Damage? I just happen to read some on the internet and it affects LPG fueled cars.

yes but I think it happens on cars without hardened valve seats like the cars that require LEADED GASOLINE. Modern car engines designed to run unleaded gasoline should be okay.

In the most dreaded event that the LPG suffered a serious failure, is there a "master" switch that completely disables the system and returns back to petrol mode? Like RAID drives or redundant systems, our car must stay in tip-top shape, even if its actually limping.

You can pull the fuse that goes to the auto-lpg system. That will result in the auto-lpg system to be powered off. The original gasoline system of the vehicle will operated normally.

Hi sir, for a 50 liter tank you should be able to at least have a full tank of 40 to max of 42.5 liters. Maybe Greenfuel filled up your tank already before you filled up kaya 24 liters lang nakarga. If thats not the case, my hunch is your float might be hitting the deep tube of the multivalve kaya napapatigil sa 24 liters. For the meantime pls. observe on another full tank if tlgang up to 24 liters lang nakakarga mo..you should consult with Greenfuel personnel so they can check up your Multivalve.

Being a safety device, should that be part of the kit? After all, we don't want the electronics portion of the system to be unnecessarily running while still waiting to be repaired.

My car is covered by our company's fleet insurance policy. I've brought this matter to our insurer, but they're still studying it.

I'm uncertain if the conversion job may compromise my insurance. Care to give an opinion?

if your installer is certified by the DOTC i think it doesn't compromise your insurance.

I'm uncertain if the conversion job may compromise my insurance. Care to give an opinion?

I consulted my insurance agent, prior to my conversion. No negative impact to my existing comprehensive insurance policy. He just said that I can add a little more, for the policy to cover the additional LPG kit to the overall coverage amount.

I switch between BPI-MS and UCPB Gen between years, depending on my agent's recommendation (I think he just gives me the provider where he's short on his sales quota ).

The electrical fuse is a standard part of the auto-lpg kit from GREENFUEL.

Not sure about other companies though.

It would get warm because that is the solenoid keeping the tank-side valve open when it is operating normally. There should be a counter-part located in the engine bay.

Unfortunately with the dollar increasing since they started, they had to increase their auto-lpg kit prices as well. I think it was mentioned in this thread weeks ago. So the SGI prices really start from P42K.

Just call it the price you pay for waiting too long.
