My fuel economy also dropped from 9km/l to 7km/l. Pero I actually had a blast with my first tankfull of LPG. Hataw hataw mode ako plus long idling hours because of demos to friends.

I'll try my econo mode this time and see where it gets me. Sabi ni Mike engine needs a little getting used to the new fuel (LPG). Kung hindi mag improve, I'll bring it back for re tuning.

Overall, very happy with my ride.

Note: I filled up with half tank remaining (around 21liters) before measuring FC. Not sure if this is accurate. Before kasi I measure my FC whenever I'm down 1/4 (32liters)

The mentioned thread is already a sticky in the Car Economy and Fuel Talk subforum.

As for converting your getz, it can be done but the only logical space for the tank is the sparetire well which can fit a 40L tank.

good. that should be handy for everybody...

i am monitoring the price of lpg now as well...

as for the 40 litres...i think thats ok since i pass by the LPG refuelling stations at buendia everyday.

i am actually now more concerned about the ROI and also about maintaining the warranty of my engine.

ROI kaya yan depende sa mileage mo pero since the Getz 1.1 in itself is quite econmical baka matatagalan lang but eventually maabot mo din yan...

yan nga nasa isip ko...medyo matagal nga...PLUS tumataas din ang LPG kahit na independently mined ang gas sa oil(usually)...dapat may tax break sa LPG dahil alternative fuel sya pero, wala!cibai

If you are too concerned about ROI... don't be. Anyway the conversion recommended for Getz would be the venturi mixer type so it's cheaper than the SGI kits resulting in a quicker ROI period.

Also, if you can put a price on comfort riding in your own car as compared to commuting, maybe the price of the kit would make it worthwhile already.

Going back to my issue of decreased FC. I think I filled up my LPG tank too early. 21liters lang ang nalagay sa 50liter tank ko. I think it wont give me accurate FC reading. Dapat dineplete ko siya...

Excited kasi eh...hahaha. Ang mura ng LPG sa Petron Wack wack. Its only 31.9petot. Its my 2nd time to gas up and also my 2nd time to see a chick with her car running on LPG din..haha.

sa 40-liter doughnut tank, 80% or 32 liters lang pwede ikarga lpg.

I dont think tumaas today ang LPG. I refilled tonight, and di nagbago ang price at 31.++. Just had my ride converted today at greenfuel, (thanks to big mike, lorna and esp with ian, et al.) nagkaron ng madaming minor problems, but they made sure na ok na lahat before I left. maganda ang takbo, at same lang ang acceleration with petrol, though sa higher rpm (around 3K) medyo hirap na, unlike sa petrol. but generally, i know i will enjoy this setup since im really after on greater savings on fuel costs.

What I noticed is malaki ang price difference ng lpg sa pasig(31.++) at makati (33.++) sayang din yung almost 2bucks a liter.

I guess since we have a lot of new "converts" (dang! sound like a religion)... the issue of price differences has come up.

Anyway, just monitor the Auto-Lpg price thread and also kindly contribute as well if you can.

It's possible but for you to benefit fully from a SGI kit, you will need to have an oxygen sensor fitted. Then the LPG installer can link the sensor with their SGI system.

only major reason is 1999 and up cars have factory O2 sensors.
Ekogas has an SGI system which has its own oxygen sensor built-in and reduces the 4 cylinder rails into a single component. It is claimed to be a new tech in autogas conversion. Just learned from inquiry made a few days ago.

Landi Renzo of Macro LPG offers an SGI set-up that makes no issue of whether your car has O2 sensor or not.

Your thoughts on these please.

While they are priced about 20% more than the lower-priced SGIs mentioned in this thread, they offer options for those who insist on an SGI system (for performance and safety) regardless of what vehicle they have and whatever the cost will be.

sir GH,

Anong type ng LPG system at saan company maganda magpa convert , based on customer review and experience....thank's

That's what I was told, but the first time I refueled my donut tank, it was 39.9 liters.
The last refuel, after I ran out of LPG, I filled up 44 liters.

Manood kayo sa Lunes sa TV Patrol (Karen Davila) 6:00PM.

Featured ang StarGas LPG kit installer.

Balita ko ipapalabas yung Innova coverted to LPG.

Paglilinaw lang po, di po sa akin yung Innova dahil kay GreenFuel ako nagpa-convert. Pero tsikoteer din ang may-ari nung Innova.
