You can simply have your car tuned up at your regular tune up place, casa or gasoline station, etc. Just remember to either turn off the LPG system or switch to pure gasoline mode when having it serviced.
No problems with it for the last two years being serviced by the regular people doing it.
Thanks ghosthunter. Can you please enlighten me why switch to gas during tuneups? I thought we would want the mechanics to tune our engines for lpg, for more efficient lpg burn? Why tuneup for gas if we plan to use lpg most of the time?![]()
First and foremost, the engine was designed to run on gasoline. For most LPG converted cars, engine settings were not changed. So just for conveniece, using the car's stock gasoline settings would minimize any confusion during the tune up process, especially if the car is newer and contains a lot of sensors and electronics.
i currently have a 2004 mazda tribute 3 liter v6. mostly used for city driving and get terrible gas mileage. 5km/l. i use roughly two full tanks a month(120 liters)
just want to inquire:
1.in terms of roi, what would be the best type of lpg system?
2.inquired at denso and as of yesterday, they haven't done a conversion yet on an engine like mine, so they can't give me feedback on how their closed loop system will work on my car.
3.also inquired at greenfuel, and their sgi system for a v6 3 liter engine would cost more than normal. at the price quoted, it would take me a very long time to recover the initial investment
4.is it safe to assume that since i do mostly city driving (and don't mind a bit of power loss), the less expensive closed loop system would be more acceptable in terms of recovering my investment?
thank you in advance for any feedback.

hi sir GH good day,
im planning to have my car converted to autogas but im a bit confused on what type of kit should i have installed. Im driving a 93 nissan bluebird (sr20DE engine) Im not sure if this engine has an o2 sensor.
I already had price quotations from NAIDSS, DENSO and GREENFUEL. Im planning to have the kit installed by DENSO because so far they are the only one that accept ccard payment for the conversion (in a hurry because of rising fuel prices)
what would you recommend sir?
By the way, I'd like to ask the location of Sucat petron along Alabang -Zapote road that are you referring to in the list of refillers? I called several petron stations in that area and they said they do not refill autogas. I hope you can help me because I live in Bacoor, Cavite. From the list of refillers, Total Alabang and Petron Sucat would be the nearest to my house.
Thank you in advance.

Sana tapos na kahit signal no.2 (typhoon frank) sa atin.
Unfortunately I don't have any info on reputable auto-LPG installers nor list of auto-lpg refueling stations in Cebu as most of my focus is in the Metro Manila area.
As for your Ford Focus, yes, you can have it converted to auto-lpg with a donut type tank (to retain trunk space).
First, avoid NAIADSS because there is (inside) internal news that its in financial problems due to infighting of it's owners over money matters.
A venturi mixer kit will work with your engine but it will result in a slight degrade in power due to intake constriction which would be felt at the top part of your engine's RPM range (in both LPG & petrol modes).
Denso can install an oxygen sensor to your engine if it doesn't yet has one. As I would advise others regarding DENSO/EROOM, careful with the "options" because EROOM charges quite a lot for them (as compared to other installers).
The Petron station along the Alabang-Zapote road is located nearer the coastal end. If you are coming from coastal rd, the station will be on your left side five minutes after the flyover if traffic is light.
If there is no close by LPG station nearby cavite, there are a few along the airport road near old domestic airport. There is the NAIADSS auto-LPG station along EDSA near taft. There are also the stations along Buendia before reaching SSH (if you are coming from Roxas). Depends where you work.
