The biggest penalty is the purchase price for EROOM's closed-loop LPG systems if you go beyond the standard config of the system. Upgraded tank or donut tanks cost a lot more than with other installers. Closed loop systems do have better fuel mileage than open loop but poorer than sgi systems. SGI systems also offer better fuel control than closed loop.
If you are just getting the basic closed loop, then the price is fine. But if you plan to get a closed loop with torroidial tank (costing P7K more), you would be better off opting for the SGI kit offered by GREENFUEL or GREEN GAS.

Bigger gas stations with Autogas pumps would usually accept credit cards. Pero kung stand-alone Autogas station lang, baka hindi pa. Yung unang full tank ko was in Total (very near Denso, where I had my conversion). They sold petrol, diesel, and autolpg. They accepted credit card. Yung Liquigaz dito sa Sandoval Ave Pasig, 1 pump lang sila for autolpg (they're the refilling plant for Liquigaz for kitchen LPG), and they only accept cash. Yung SeaOil sa Shaw Blvd (near Pineda) has 1 pump for autolpg, and they accept credit cards rin. Ang Manila Autogas is purely autolpg, and hindi yata sila tumatanggap ng credit card (at least not the one in Makati). Petron in Shaw Wack-Wack also has 1 pump for autolpg, and I'm almost sure they accept credit cards.
In general, you just have to go with the efi/carb identification. Certain car models do have quirks when it's running on LPG though.
Example, Chevy Venture gets a "check engine light" whenever its on LPG mode, and the car might eventually stall. Mazda3 1.6L's CEL is a little sensitive on LPG but properly tuned the CEL will not trigger, otherwise the vehicle runs fine.
im not sure if this' already asked before but may i ask lang po. how many HP and NM of torque will drop if you have your gas engine car converted to LPG?tia

Has anyone tried this deferred payment scheme for LPG conversion?

Nice find smdelfin. They are known as ALPGAS, and their mother company is called FEROTECH. Contact numbers are: 641-1111/432-1883/432-1876 (Marice or Steph Sanchez). Installation address is: 8501 Sandoval Avenue, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City. Email address is alpgas*yahoo.com.
I gave Steph a call, and they carry 2 brands Lovato (Italian) and Voltran (Turkish). Here are the kits they have available:
Carb-type:
- Lovato - 22k
- Votran - 16k
Single-point for EFI (probably open loop with EFI emulator):
- Lovato - 25k
- Votran - 18k
SGI:
- Lovato - 50k
- Votran - 40k and 45k (2 types of kits - she could not explain the difference between them)
They have torpedo type tanks only, with 36/48/60 liter capacities. You may choose any tank with the kits, at no additional costs.
Based on their Yello ad, they offer 12 months 0% interest installment payment options. But they claim it's as low as P1,595/month, which is over 19k. Their most basic package is only 16k. So I don't think they have true 0% interest scheme. They'll probably say it's a "cash discount".
Warranty is 6months or 36,000kms whichever comes first.
Ghost, please post in the LPG Installers thread.
warranty daw sa EROOM is 1 year according to Mike...
btw. binangit ni Ted Faylon iyun cell phone number ni Mike, at libre pasaload daw...just kidding...
P100,000??? Di ata sulit yan ah... Unless diesel goes to like P100/L and LPG stays where it is which is unlikely the way I see it since LPG prices will go up with crude and most likely even more due to speculative switch...
what kind of conversion is that?... pure LPG or mix diesel/LPG when the engine is converted to LPG?... it might be cheaper to swap in a gasoline engine and then convert to LPG. (price might be under P50K for everything including engine swap & LPG conversion).

Depends on the car more than anything. I can accelerate my corolla 1.6L a/t up the parking ramp of Shangrila EDSA quickly enough to catch up with the car in front of me while on LPG mode. Thats with my primitive venturi-mixer type LPG kit.
The only thing that is affected is the car's maximum speed. If you top out at 170kph, you might find it a bit less under LPG. Otherwise, in practical daily driving, you shouldn't see any compromise in your driving.
hi guys. we have a civic vti 96 and crv 00. whats the best way to convert? budget wise and economy wise.
who offers a great (not neccesary best) installation and equipment?
and reading the previous posts.. i cant really tell whats the big difference between open, closed system and the sgi system. presyo lang napansin ko pag kakaiba.
and could someone post here the recent autogas lpg price? para we could compare it sa petrol gasoline.
this also serves as price record tracking and further computation if going lpg powered would be economical. ( not everyone converting will become economical if they arent using their cars enough )
