    AUTO-LPG Installers Contact Information

This thread is to help members of TSIKOT.COM to find the contact information of auto-LPG system installers.
it would be also helpful if each company provide what type of system they are providing, its brand, and origin (autolpg kits manufactured) and its corresponding cost to install. furthermore, it would also be helpful if they could provide information with regards to the warranty of their product, their promos, discount, freebies, etc...

    just a suggestion...

I think posting the contact information is enough so that any interested people can call and ask them directly what they have to offer them, especially if they have new types of kits or services coming online. And the posted contact info is not meant to advertise products but help tsikot.com members find these companies easier.

Well, we will have to be a bit careful with the delineation of of this thread as somewhat for information, and as somewhat as a marketplace. Big Mike got banned before because he was perceived by one of the moderators as putting up sales talk.

This should not happen if the lpg system in your car is properly installed and if vehicles is properly maintained and lastly if drivers stop tinkering with their lpg system (taxi drivers are guilty with this last one)

no. the lpg smell does NOT get into the cabin if the lpg system is properly installed and maintained.

Power is generally maintained through most of the RPM using the venturi-mixer lpg kit, although there will be some power drop at the higher rpm range.

I hope hindi OT ang question ko...

Will an open-type aftermarket air filter (K&N) bring noticeable benefits to my LPG system? Medyo rough idling kasi ako ngayon (idle is right, about 900rpm, pero sometimes it hiccups down to 600rpm momentarily). Namatayan na rin ako during full stops, while running on LPG. Hopefully retuning will solve it, but will upgrading my air filter to open-type be recommended?

Short trips lang ako (8kms home-office), in pure city driving (stop-go traffic). Ok pala idling ko with gasoline.

Changing your filter to a cone type would be the same as with your stock filter.

BTW, even if K&N is a washable filter, it still gets more clogged everytime it gets washed. It would still be better to get a new filter to replace the used one. In that light, it would be advisable to stay with the stock filter.

As for your rough idle or even stalling problems, if you haven't changed your filter, try a brand new one. It might be the solution to your problem.

-open loop mixer LPG kit - basic carb type LPG system. No feedback system to adjust the A/F ratio on the fly. Fuel consumption would be slightly poorer than with gasoline. Some degree of engine power loss especially at the higher RPM. Prices would be around P23K to P25K

-close loop mixer LPG kit - basic carb type LPG system upgraded with a feedback loop via oxygen sensor (or a tap into stock ECU signal). Fuel consumption would be slightly poorer than SGI but better than open-loop mixer kits. Some degree of engine power loss especially at the higher RPM. Price is around P25K for the basic kit (EROOM/DENSO)

-SGI LPG kit - basically a basic EFI system refitted to feed LPG into your engine. This would have a feedback loop either via oxygen sensor or directly tapping into the stock ECU signals to adjust fuel flow. Properly tuned, this kit would give similar fuel mileage figures as with gasoline. Very minimal engine power loss. Price is around P39K (GREENFUEL), P40K (GREENGAS) and upwards.

good pm to all. am planning on converting to lpg fuel but can't yet decide.
been researching on the fuel consumption penalty of lpg powered vehicles compared to petrol powered cars. the results vary, some long term studies indicate a fuel consumption penalty of about 10 to 15%, others lower or higher, or based on majority opinion culled from this board no penalty for sgi based installations.

i hope current lpg users could share their comparative fuel consumption figures.

I think you can read on actual owner's experiences within this thread. Kindly spend the effort to read the thread for answers already posted to your questions so we will avoid restating the obvious.

From what you already posted you already know the answers anyway.

The fuel consumption penalty may exist, but since the cost of the lpg is around 40% cheaper, we still get a net savings, even if the fuel consumption penalty exists.

    *gh

thank you for the reply. i have read the thread and that is where i saw the varying consumption figures, among other sources, thus the query from actual users specially from those who are using the closed loop system.

thank you for the reply. i thought so too that there would be some kind of a fuel consumption penalty. i cannot decide whether it would be worth it to go for the sgi or for the closed loop system, all depends on the corresponding fuel consumption penalties inherent in each of those systems.

Marivictor, i didnt confirm that the fuel penalty exists. I said "IF the fuel penalty does exist..."

Im using an SGI system on a 1997 Lancer GLXi (1.6L engine). When the engine was brand new, I used to measure it at around 7-9km/L. With an SGI LPG system, Im getting practically the same mileage. I cant speak for the other systems as I dont have practical experience with them.
