Nope, the tanks are standard sizes and designs only. In fact, they must be certified by the DTI to pass to have the PS safety mark.

sounds like a multi-cab vehicle... and pwede din even with small engines, although you might have a problem where to place the tank.

I have two cars. My daily driver is the '99 Corolla with 4AFE-16v engine converted to auto-LPG. My other ride is my project car, a '96 Nissan Sentra with SR20DE engine, still currently running on gasoline. I am considering to convert it to LPG as well but that will have to wait until I have the devildoc's water/methanol injection system installed on it.

very nice and tidy installation of greenfuel! sarap gamitin yang city na yan. at about 12kms/liter, tapos LPG pa! ok pa rin mag-cruising, you have peace of mind na hindi butas ang bulsa mo.

Thanks Paolorenzo for your endorsement. We really value such endorsements as this is a proof that Greenfuel can compete in terms of quality even if our price is competitive.

China Boi, your concern is legitimate. But rest assured that auto-lpg is very safe. I will not put my family into harms way as well.

I and probably some of the people in this thread have been using auto-lpg for a long time. If I had detected any sympton of sickness or disorder, I will be the first one to take this system out of my vehicle. And to think that auto-lpg is widely and encouraged in industrialized nations, is only added proof that this is a safe fuel.

The health concern of the driver, could have been brought about by pre-existing condition of the drivers. Auto-lpg is not toxic. And if for some reason it leaks a minute amount can be easily detected thus preventing further inhalation which may cause suffocation in enclosed areas.

The timing of raising this issue is kind of suspect as well. We all know that the most viable and readily available (cheaper) alternative fuel is auto-lpg. Why would such a report come out after years of existence of auto-lpg.

In countries such as UK, Italy, Germany, S.Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia, auto-lpg is a common alternative fuel. Why have these countries not issue any health warnings against auto-lpg same way they do with cigarettes?

There are far more studies done on cell phones, microwave ovens and other common gadgets that may pose more danger than auto-lpg and yet we use it as part of our everyday life.

I hope I can get more feedback from other Volvo owners out there who has converted & used this system. This forum is a jewel for people like me who are seriously contemplating using auto-LPG.
Maintenance is the same as if you are running on petrol. The only difference is that your oil will be a lot cleaner running on aut0-lpg thus life can be extended.

As far as check engine light I just had it reset once and that's it so this should not be a problem

    Hope I answered your queries

Napapaisip na din ako kung I should jump for the LPG conversion... Magkano ba on average ang conversion cost? Say for a 1999 2.3L Honda Accord VTI-L A/T? Yung Civic ko definitely not since bago pa eh pero yung Accord luma na so pwede gawing tester

There is something Ild like you to notice with the video... Although the cowboy lpg installation had the largest explosion, it also had the longest time to do so.

The petrol car exploded after 3 minutes... the professionally installed lpg car exploded after 12 minutes... the cowboy lpg car BLEW UP in 14 minutes.

This may also mean that we may have a better chance to escape. 3 minutes and 14 minutes are quite far apart. Now for dual fuel cars which carry both lpg and gasoline, I wonder what the time will be.

First of all, we might want to ask why the lpg was in the car's passenger compartment in the first place. Taxi drivers always open the clear plastic cover at the back of the tank when they refuel. I think this damages the seal and causes the gas leak. So don't do this.

If the smell of the lpg is undesireable, it can cause hyperventillation which can cause asthma for asthmatics. For non-asthmatics, this may manifest as dry throat and dizziness.

If properly used, the lpg will never be in the passenger compartment to begin with.

This has always been a mystery to me as there is a led guage to determine the lpg content so taking off the plastic cover is unnecessary

Actually, the professionally installed auto-LPG did not explode. The pressure release valve on the LPG tank was doing it's job of releasing internal pressure in a controlled fashion as you can see in the spurts of flame coming from the rear of the vehicle. It looks a bit dramatic but it prevents the tank itself from blowing up from internal overpressure.

I think the venturi-mixer kit is recommended on your car since it has no oxygen sensor for the SGI kit to tap into. Should be around P23K to P25K at GREENFUEL.

The advantage of a simpler auto-lpg kit on your car is the fast installation time. It can be finished in a day.

^^Yes thanks for the reply actually Mike has informed me already and since mukang mura naman (I though dati aabot ng P40K-P50K which made me hesitant since my mileage is very low unlike taxis) I might go for it na. Now I just have to find a time to have it installed since sobrang busy sa work
