Sana sa mga Rally magamit nila ang diesel engines for racing. Nakakatuwa marinig na lumalaban din ang diesel sa mga gasoline. Pero mas maganda kung meron endurance race na lahat ng kalahok ay diesel.

Not at LeMans... Nurburgring. They won the Nurburgring 24 hours with a touring car class BMW 320d, I think... yup, a 2 liter diesel beat a heckuva lot of Porsches... surprising it wasn't very hyped in the media, as it was the first ever outright win by a diesel in any 24 hour endurance race.

In this years Nurburgring 24 hours, a privateer driven BMW 120d (BMW is now selling the package to interested individuals... it's built to common WTCC specs) came in an amazing 5th place... again, against a whole kaboodle of Porsches, Ferraris, etctera...

    Matira talaga matibay...

BMW also places consistently in the top ten of the Paris Dakar with their BMW X5 twin turbo diesels, and VW got 2nd or 3rd (can't remember which) with a diesel Touareg... I think VW is moving from bespoke buggies to full-body entries for Dakar now.

Yup... diesel is here. Many of us motorheads have known it for years. It just took the R10 to wake everybody else up to the fact.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
