    It's been around for a while.
    It cost almost 2x as much as a standard turbo.
    The one I'm familiar with provides maximum boost as low as 2000rpm.
    There is no need for a wastegate as the variable geometry function of the turbine also acts as a wastegate & controls the amount of boost.

    diesel turbo? works just about the same as a normal turbo. try using google.
