I agree. Mabilis siya umarangkada for its engine and size.

But if you would compare their prices, mas bang for the buck talaga ang GS, wag ka nga lang magpaloko sa kanilang warranty BS.

I had the lower leaf springs replaced with one without rubber.

I thought they were upgrading the Grandia's engine to a 3.0L D-4D (which is still a detuned version of the Fortuner's engine).

Ride on the Commuter is bad. Very choppy, and tight inside. Wish they brought over the bubble top, Grandia-sized Commuter. That would be big and relatively comfy.

^The Commuter seats are also slightly above wooden benches. :D

It may not be as fast as the Grand Starex but our Grandia has proven to be reliable and efficient; I just wished we added a little more for the Super Grandia when we bought the van.

I so agree with you on the Commuter. Yan ang sinakyan namin from SM Davao to Kidapawan. Whew! Doon pa ako sa last row nakaupo. Buti ung from Kidapawan to North Cotabato Urvan na. Ang laki ng difference. Honestly, mas ok pa para sakin ung old Hiace kaysa sa Commuter.

Sorry my mistake. GL pala yung na-drive ko dati. Checked out my neighbor's Hiace last night.

Anyway, just want to share with you guys - nakasakay din kami ng Grandia with a 2.7L VVTi engine sa Dubai. 14 kami on board and I can still feel the punch of the petrol engine. M/T yun.

Meron din ako experience last 2007 sa South Africa - we rode a Hiace long wheelbase and bubble top with the 3.0 D4D. Ang tulin! As far as I remember, A/T yun.

We are planning also to change our van next year (Hiace Commuter), In favor ako sa GS over Hiace GL, pero my only concerned is the GS suspension, yun pa naman ang masakit sa ulo sa sasakyan kapag madalas masira yung suspension, even they said its different from previous gen. like for example we used to go very often out of town or in province, although ok na naman yung daan papunta sa province namin at this time pero about sa durability compare sa hiace like our old van hands down ako.

8 Passengers kaming sakay and punong puno ng gamit.
