does anybody here know if the tribute is due for a major facelift anytime soon? was planning on getting one and just like hertzblaster was confused on either getting a crv or a tribute. i've heard great stories about the tribute but horror stories bout the consumption as well. the crv is...well...a crv. i guess the volume of crvs on the streets today attests to its quality. so do u think the tribute is a better choice?

Depends on what you want personally.
Both have great space, relatively firm rides and bad gas consumption. Unless you can get a manual CRV, don't expect it to be frugal unless you have a light right foot. The Tribute's guzzler tag mainly comes because of the type of people who buy Mazdas.... (zoom zoom)... but it's not completely undeserved.
The only differences that matter:
CRV = good resale value, relatively good reliability
Tribute = good looks, great fun
