The actual meaning of the RS badge in Japan stands for "ROAD SAILING" it's not racing sedan or racing saloon.

It's some weird form of Japanese Engrish where in it conotes literally a "boat sailing on land".. in simple terms a road cruiser. luma na yung RS badge. way back 70s oldschool civic pa sa Japan.

Locally the 2000 Civic was the first one with the RS edition which came out in sunburst yellow color both for the RS VTi and RS SiR.

2002 the ES Civic also had the RS model in same with the ES VTi.

    Wow... that's... different.

I'd still really like to know what the RS in Kia Rio RS means, though.

Ang "RS" sa Ford? Just ask any owner...

    Rough Shifting - clunky gearbox
Rides Smooth - even on rough roads
Revs Slowly - kulang ng kaunti yung top-end power
Runs Swiftly - but who needs VTEC?
Raises Smiles - all day long.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Resing Sabi raw

    I thought Racing Spirit.

it means a Civic VTi-S wrapped in a Racing Sedan clothing.

same mechanicals as the VTi/VTi-S, the engine is just the same even the size of wheels are same although the design is sportier and seemed to echo the previous Civic SiR's (EK) design (6spoke).

    but seriously, it looks good.
