    Thanks for all the replies...

Yes may mga nakita nga akong Focus, 3, Lancer, Altis and Civic kaso younger is better sana...

At the end of the day, bakal pa din yan and nadadagdagan kalawang/lumalambot every year... 2010-2011 models are already 7-8 years old, by the time she finishes college, more than 10 years old na.

Ayoko sana ng repossessed car... Based on experience, medyo hassle yung registration. Plus since as-is basis sya, ang daming sakit na lumalabas sa first few months (in reality, na-repossess yung sasakyan kasi nabitin sa monthly fees yung original owner, di na ako aasa sa maintenance)

^^^ Bigger cars are built to be more robust than smaller cars. There is a reason they are more expensive as they have better engines and bigger frames.

A 7-8 year old car will not be far off in shape compared something 3 years younger. If the car is properly maintained and the owner cared for it accordingly, then it will still be in good shape even after 10 years. I had a 2001 Accord before, its chassis and suspension was better compared to our much younger 2009 City.

I'd take a 2011 Civic over a 2014 City anytime. The older Civic still rides better and as Egan said, is built tougher compared to its budget-strapped brother.

I sold my 2009 Altis without a single kalampag. In all honesty, it ran as well as my 2015 Altis and definitely much better than my 2014 Vios before.

I'd take an old Civic over a new Wigo/Mirage anytime. Kahit brand new, low-end pa rin.

Even if you buy a 2nd hand car with the price higher than the market value as long as its casa maintained and less than 30k on the odo especially if AT buy mo. try mo mga sa banks yung mga na repossess, usually casa
maintained mga yan. My friends barkada nakabili ng 2016 vios AT sa bank with less than 10k sa odo 500k, maybe may kilala siya sa bank.
Agree with this suggestion. Daming resposessed vios sa banks, kung makachamba, you can get one with just 5k on the odo for 500k or a little bit more. Parang bago na rin.

This is a Sport+ model with the 1.0L 3-cylinder Ecoboost (turbo) engine. I would say it's a good deal for its price as it was sold for 898k back in 2014. The Ecoboost model was available locally on the 2nd quarter of 2014.

Just make sure there is a complete service record and ask the owner how he drives it. Also, ask the owner if he has some issues with the DCT tranny (severe jerking, stalling).

I also drive a 2014 Fiesta Ecoboost and I have logged round 43k+ on it already. So far, I'm happy with it. It's one fast and responsive car, feels like a daily go-kart. Take note though that the fuel consumption is more like a car with a 1.6L NA engine on city routes though it can very fuel efficient on the highway (15-20 km/L).

I wouldn't risk it with an old Fiesta, not worth it if it isn't the turbo.

I'd rather look for another Jazz, preferably 1.5 (same FC, much more power).

That's the Ecoboost model already. The non-turbo model does not have the Ecoboost tag above the "S" unless the owner placed such a tag.

My bad, assumed it was the 1.5.

Hmm the Fiesta Ecoboost is an interesting proposition for me - very fast, fun to drive, lots of toys, but ultimately a toy car.

Very cramped for 3 passengers in the back, not much cargo space, doesn't look as expensive as other similarly priced cars.

I considered the Ecoboost before I bought my Altis before. Ultimately decided it just wasn't the all-rounder I was looking for.
