March 31st, 2011 06:52 PM #11*TS: since hard earned money mo yan. Mas maganda siguro icheck mo with the dealers lahat ng choices mo. Try to compute with Sales Advisor of each brand yung operation and maintenance cost. With your budget, take time in checking all possible choices. Masarap sa pakiramdam yung feeling na after all your effort, you've got what you need and want at the same time.
With your two choices: Vios ako pero E m/t. Yung price difference nung A/T at M/T, ipangpapalit ko ng 17" mags (Ala S Variant). :DLast edited by dale323; March 31st, 2011 at 07:03 PM. Reason: 16 to 17"

Tama!
Don't judge a person by his/her car we really don't know who owns the car.

among the 2 choices, Toyota Vios 1.3E A/T nalang. why?
1. take this more as a compliment rather than an insult, but the Vios is the best starter car out there for first time owners who wants to own a brand new car (maintenance, parts). obviously napakaraming Vios owners, yes marami rin ang City owners pero mas marami lang talaga ang Vios.
2. it is A/T, more on city driving ka, and I don't know your driving skills pero at least matagal ka nang nagmamaneho or hindi, this the better one.
so go for Vios nalang kid.

Fuel consumption, maintenance, parts, looks, power, accessories
Fuel Consumption
- I haven't heard of the City's consumption yet but I have known other Vios owners who claimed to have +/- 20km/l in their highway driving. Probably around 80-90kph in the long stretch of SCTEX ? So yup, the vios might be the winner here though the City may catch up since the Vios is A/T while the City is in M/T.
Maintenance & Parts
- With no doubts, I`d go with the Vios. Cheap. Easy-to-find parts. Toyota e`. I have a Honda Civic FD and its maintenance is quite higher than what it should be ( comparing it with the PMS cost of its counterparts )
Looks
- City. No doubts. From the solid feeling of the interior to its looks from the outside.
Accessories
- Uhm. OEM accessories ? Well. The Vios doesn't come with foglights, same goes with the City. And the 1.3E Vios doesn't come with power side mirrors too which the City 1.3S has, i think.
My vote ? City 1.3S.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
