Sobra swerte sa unit. Hehe yung dati kong gamit na 2006 diesel sa ganyang mileage sobra dami na napalitan * 150,000kms..
Here's what I remember:
-1 set injectors
-Clutch Kit
-Aircon system (2 times)
-Shift lever assembly
-SCV
-Timing belt (2 times*75k kms)
BTT: Diesel hands down. Hindi ko lang feel yung gas engine for the Innova. Siguro na-spoil lang sa lakas ng 2.8.Last edited by Sleepcare; May 22nd, 2017 at 05:35 PM.

May 27th, 2017 09:30 PM #44+1 for Diesel
Coming from manual VVti Innova, the grunt is definitely lacking especially when climbing steep grades, need to turn off AC for added torque. If you've experience going up to Baguio at the final stretch of Marcos with heavy traffic, stop and go, then you know what I mean.
On long stretches, no problem. However, the engine seems to be comfortable only at 100kph and below as it becomes boomy beyond (3000rpm/100kph). Also, it becomes noticeably thirsty at speeds above triple digits.
Sold this and got the D4D AT... am impressed with the torque, climbing any steep grades of Marcos or Kennon with ease AC on, even accelerating for quick overtaking of trucks and slow vehicles. This coming from only 102 horses!. It does not hesitate on steep inclines where there are stop and go traffic. These you cannot do with the gas counterpart even if you mash the pedal. The rpm at 100kph is +2000rpm, this helps in keeping the noise at tolerable levels. Tried once or twice to put the pedal to the metal at TPLEX and able to reach 165kph.Acceleration is quick and linear, only starts to lose steam beyond 140kph. Of course the cons would be the noise and the nginig of the D4D.

IMO... kung sagot ng company fuel mo... Petrol
kung sagot mo... Diesel
Kung plan mo ibenta 5-10-15 years later... mas maganda resale value ng Diesel, and let's just say in 10 years pareho market value nila... Mas madali pa din ibenta Diesel.
As for the "mas malakas ang diesel na makina" - well it's bigger 2.0 vs 2.8
Innova spec sheet...
Engine Type
2.0 Liter Gas, 4-Cylinder, In line 16 Valve, Double Overhead Camshaft
1,998L
Maximum Output 136 / 5,600
Maximum Torque 183 / 4,000
2.8 Liter Diesel, 4-Cylinder, In-Line 16 Valve, Double Overhead Camshaft (Variable Nozzle Turbo Charger w/ Intercooler)
2,755L
Maximum Output 171 / 3,400
Maximum Torque 360 / 1,200 - 3,400
I'm not a car expert, pero as expected, almost double torque nung diesel at lower RPM pero the petrol version will give you power until 4k!
Max HP din ng petrol version is at 5.6k...
So the way I see it... if you love high revs... the petrol version will be more fun for you...
