1TR-FE is the gas engine. 1GD-FTV is the diesel.

The 1TR is still quieter because it's still a gas engine, albeit an unrefined one.

1TR-FE is petrol fed. Dual VVTi 1TR-FE is for the current gen petrol fed innova.

1st gen diesel fed innova is 2TR-FE, 1GD-FTV yung bago.

Yup sorry the 2.8 is the 1GD while the 2.4 is the 2GD. Same generation of engines, just different displacements.

In any case, the GD engine is quiet FOR A DIESEL. But in absolute terms, it's still not as good as a gas engine. The 1TR is a noisy gas engine, but even a noisy gas engine is still quieter than a quiet diesel engine.

That said, the diesel Innova is the way to go. More power, more torque, more economical. And as I've said, it's very quiet for a diesel engine so it shouldn't be bothersome.

mukhang dinispose ni Toyota ang 2.4 GD engine dahil di na available based on their brochure.

ano kaya meron sa accent diesel at wala ako gaano marinig na ingay unlike sa iba?
hindi kaya dahil sa sobrang gaan ng kaha at hindi sobrang nasstress ang makina?
