I own Accent hatch but for this kind of road condition, I'd vote for pickup or SUV's.

Accent had a very good fuel consumption, highest FC I reached was 18 km/l (based on full tank method), provincial road. Accent is not designed for this kind of road condition and it has low ground clearance, maaaring sumayad yung ilalim nyan.

BTT, for now, I'd choose Dmax over Hilux. 1 or 2 years after, kung walang sakit yung GD engine ng Toyota. Hilux pipiliin ko.

    Just my 2 cents

Crosswind, for some reason di ko sya gusto di ko alam kung bakit baka dahil yung sasakyan ng kapitbahay namin dati isipin gaya gaya ako hehehe

meron kasi yung lola ko ford ranger trekker 2002 model eh pag sumakay ka para kay nagbobounce eh its been 13 year and I kept hearing parang kotse na daw ang pickup ngayun di na masyado maalog, siguro magtest na lang ako and make a decision

    thanks sa suggestion

Go for the pick-up. The suspension will last longer and resale value will stick better most especially if you're based in the province.

I recently decided to let go of our Altis and go back to a pickup for our primary car/daily driver.

If you're looking for comfort, if you would pick the Dmax, I'd say don't sit at the back coz it's very bouncy. Ang tagtag talaga lalo pag walang laman. Parang minamasahe, ang talbog at mahihilo ang sakay mo. Mine is an 08 Global Dmax and sobrang bihira lang akong sumakay sa likod. But if it is loaded, ok siya and it follows the contour of the road, parang kang dinuduyan.

I believe the PMS costs of the all new Dmax is a bit more expensive than the one that I have. My 4JJ1 engine's PMS is around 6k for the minor service and around 10 to 12k for major PMS. Parts aren't that cheap either. I don't like the hassle of buying parts, bring to the mechanic and so on, wala akong time, so I bring mine in the dealership. Sinasabi ko nalang to consult me first bago palitan especially if the parts that will be replaced are pricey. Kailangan iexplain muna nila sakin. Check the Dmax thread, I have shared my experiences with my truck there.

More than 7 yrs old, 131k+ kms, never pa akong tinirik, thank God. FC is around 11 to 12++ kms/liter sa city and 13+ to 14+ kms/liter sa highway. Not a bad performer for a relatively old truck. Kaso 4x2 ang akin.

When you are used to riding cars, maninibago ka sa pickup due to their leaf springs. Matigas ang ride. They are built to carry heavy loads and can withstand harsher road conditions but the trade off is when they are unladen.

Now between the Hilux and Dmax, I would choose the Hilux. I love the looks of the all new and I prefer its style over the current Dmax. Riding comfort, baka same lang lalo sa tagtag.

I'd take the dmax for provinicial use. The roaf in the picture would only get worse when it rains. The hilux is good too though but the dmax has a proven engine.

Di kaya yan innova or montenro iba kasi pricing dito
Although hassle kung sa manila mo kukunin but i guess worth it...
Personally i like the hilux more. Mas malakas sa putikan... given those unpave roads you'll be dealing with during rainy season.
