Planning to buy mirage g4 GLX MT, pasok po sa budget na 13k monthly and may promo na 12k down via Mitsubishi financing.

    - car will be used for daily service from Cavite to Makati. Magkano po ba cost of maintenance ng mirage g4 MT?

    TIA.

    well, you know the monthlies.

then, there's the regular pms. assume 5K pesos per pms. every 5K or every 10K km?

then there's the fuel, parking, tolls.
i live near the office. my guesstimate for these, is 1K every 2 weeks, because i get to park for free.
i am sure, yours will be different, as you will probably be spending more for fuel and for parking. assume 9 km per liter of fuel.
for trips to the mall, add a few more.

There's also the annual insurance premium. It's around 20k per year depending on your insurance provider.

    Hi!

The Mirage HB A/T that I co-own with my fiancee caused a 9,348-Peso damage for its 20,000-km maintenance service; while its 10,000-km maintenance service was around 6,000 Pesos.

Note: We decided to have it serviced in 10,000 km intervals.

Thanks po sa mga replies. Kasama po sa package na may 1year free insurance so technically next year pa magiging expense yung insurance right?

I'd still check if you can get a better deal via your own bank (though at the expense of a higher DP vs in-house).

Re: insurance, though you get it for free, you may be required to auto-renew with the casa if it's an in-house financed purchase, which may be considerably higher than the average premium offered by external insurers.

    hindi lang technically.
    "de facto" po.

errr... is that comprehensive insurance (good for 1 year), or third party liability insurance (3 years)?

there's no such thing as "free" in the auto industry.
you're paying for that insurance. you just don't know where they hid the bill.
    heh heh.

so what is your projected total monthly cost of having and using a brand new car?

I'll take note of your advice. Computin ko muna ulit monthly cost if I avail the car. For now naestimate ko nasa 20k ang dapat kong ihanda monthly.

consider mo rin na magipon muna ng pang down (i recommend sa bank kung saan ka may account ngayon) at mag bank loan ka nalang, di hamak na mas maliit ang interest. maliit lang naman ang epekto sa iyo ng excise tax given the price of your target vehicle.

baka yung masave mo sa interest eh enough na to cover yung maintenance mo for several years.

ang 5 year loan sa bank ay naglalaro sa 22-28%, pero sa in-house eh from 30% up to even 50% depending on the demand of the vehicle you are buying.

SRP of Mirage G4 is 650K, pero may 80K discount ata ngayon so 570K nalang. with the amortization you've provided, pumapatak nasa 40% yung interest mo =)

Thanks po sa mga advice, not on a rush naman ako mag-avail ng kotse, kinoconsider ko rin nga yung suzuki celerio mas mura at tingin will get the job done kung daily service lang naman. Kung may mahanap akong better deal bago magpalit ng taon may chance siguro na kumuha ako pero kung wala willing to wait until next year mga June or July siguro, by that time may pangdown na ako na malaki laki para lumiit ang interest.

God bless po sa inyo mga ka-tsikot!

wag mo muna isipin maintenance sir. Aside sa PMS, wala pa naman dapat issue yan for 3 years.

if you are gonna sell the car after 3 years, you probably won't be thinking of repair. just pms.
if you intend to keep the car for a long time, you will have to think of parts replacement cost, availability, and all that.

    but.

also, one has to think of the cost of "driving it around". i have seen many examples of cars, parked on the road, when the safer pay parking is easily available, because owner doesn't want to pay for parking..
so, hayun... hinataQ or kinabitan ng yellow hubcap.
hidden costs, that the non-car user will not usually think of.

No plans to sell the car, I'll keep it hangga't kaya pa tumakbo.

I've decided to save up next year, maybe mga June-July 2018 nalang ako kukuha ng first car di naman masyado maapektuhan ng excise tax mga target cars ko (suzuki celerio AT, mirage g4 or toyota wigo). Budget is around 700k.

    With the budget around 700k,
You an consider a bigger car than Celerio and Wigo.
I think pasok na dito yung Vios, Yaris, Accent, etc.
Driving in the expressway nakakatakot yung maliit na sasakyan.

Pero if most of the time eh more than 1 passenger ang sakay mo, it would be better so save a little more and go with compact cars with compartments (City, Vios, Polo) or their hatch counterparts (Jazz, Yaris, etc). AT versions of these are selling below 800K including discounts.

Personally if I were you, will go with the City E, pero would wait sa padating na bagong Yaris (not sure if dadating dito sa Pinas yung bagong design). For the seven seaters, Mobilio naman preferred ko.

Personally.
