I hate to play devil's advocate here but if I have 600k and with such requirements, I would be looking at some used Ford Focus TDCi. It has more than enough space, great fuel consumption (diesel), and proven performance & handling. But given such choices, I will be more inclined to get the Mirage.

Is it still worth it to buy second hand cars? If I'm expecting to use it for another 5 years, worth it pa bang bumili ng 2nd hand na Civic vs a bnew Rio?

for me no. dalawang baha na sa buong metro manila ang naganap, iilan lang ang seller that will admit that it is flooded, mahirap makipagsapalaran. buy brand new kung kaya naman ng budget

my wife and i are choosing between: Celerio, Picanto, i10, Spark. (or other suggestions of the same types?)
Our budget is around that range: <600k. We are picking on A/T.

The things we are considering are: Performance, Safety, Space, Fuel Economy, Ease of Maintenance, Availability (and affordability) of parts. Style and Design is secondary.

seeking your expert advise on this..
A/T below 600k na fuel efficient... parang mahirap.
the only choice you've got sa mga options mo is yung celerio.

but.... at that budget, i'll get a second hand jazz.

actually, that's a good route as well. 1st round of depreciation talaga ang talo ng bumibili ng bnew. i wouldn't mind being a 2nd owner of a relatively new 2nd hand car.

Yep especially yung may warranty pa kahit 1 or 2 years nalang and save like 200k to 300k from buying bnew
