I think 260K for an Exalta is a bit high. Try looking for another Corolla, or if your budget permits, go for a Civic VTi. VTEC makes its difference to the LXi more than just .1-liter.

Had and A/T 97 Honda Lxi before mileage was already 80T+ was a nice car but be ready to replace all those rubber components that starts to leak - bushing here and there , typical honda , had the same experience when I bought a pre owned esi before. I suggest have it replace one time, like if you are going to have the timing belt replaced.

I'd say Corolla sana, but sold na pala. Can't you find another 98 GLI matic for sale?

Not really sure though but let me try. As far as I remember, you would need to make sure that taxes are paid. There are two kinds of blue plates 4digits:diplomatic and 5digits:tax-exempt. For Diplomatic, it is required by law for the owner to pay full taxes after 5 years since it was bought or brought here in the Philippines. Then normal proceedure applys. Deed of Sale, Original copies of the OR and CR. Not sure about 5digit tax-exempt vehicles.

Mga gurus, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Kwento (related to my post): bumili kse ng car yung pinsan ko, diplomatic plates then after the 5 years, he sold the car so the buyer paid all neccessary taxes. It was a Ford Telstar bought from an embassy (US yata but can't remember). Oh, and that was back then in the early 90s. The rules/laws regarding that might have been changed.

Re 01 Exalta STA, was able to haggle the price down to 250k.

    00-01 nissan sentra exalta
    00-01 nissan ex saloon
    96-97 honda vti
    97-98 honda lxi
    97-98 mitsu gsr
    97-98 toyota gli

priority sana namin ung 1.) fuel efficiency 2.) features (ex. ABS, airbag, etc) 3.) maintenance

260k last price. do you think mas ok parin ung exalta khit 80k ang difference nila?

hi. til now ala parin kami nakukuha. checked another 98 toyota gli (lovelife) earlier....so far ito pa lang ung pinaka-ok ung condition na nakita nmin. all stock except dun sa mags na pang altis. though may mga concerns lang ako...

a.) squeaking sound pag todo kabig ng manibela (left and right) at naka full stop pero naka D ung gear. Same sound pag maluwag ung fan belt. Might be a power steering leak or loose PS belt (meron ba?) ? mahal kaya paayos nun?
