June 10th, 2006 09:49 AM #1need advise badly regarding surplus honda 3 door cars, have seen a lot running in the city lately (Cebu) is it wise to buy these? fuel consumption wise? parts availability and costs? thanks for the big help fellas

What kind and what year model? If you're talking about the box-type hatchbacks, they're nice little cars, but body integrity and rust is a problem with a lot of these. Engines are relatively good, everything else is average or above average. Parts are easily available but are more expensive than for similar Toyotas, Mitsus and Nissans.
If they're the newer hatchbacks, it's roughly the same thing... a little less hassle with body integrity, but still the same rust problem.
Fuel economy for any Honda is excellent compared to the competition.

Hehe... they're always fuel efficient naman... that is, until you swap in an Integra engine...

i have an EK3 for a daily driver. leaving it on Econo mode & disciplined driving, i get about 10kms/L in city driving. pwede na rin ;)
parts availability? dami surplus dyan pare. malabo maubusan tayo. hehehe
