I`d go for the Subaru Forester here.

But with you having the +/- 1.3M budget, wouldn't you want that to spend it on a full-sized sedan such as the Honda Accord or the Toyota Camry ?

Or if you want, you could opt also for the Subaru Impreza Sedan.

You won't really need a 7-seater vehicle UNLESS if you already have decided in making additional 2 babies.

IMO, the Montero downside is STILL Customer Service. My vote goes to the Forester 2.0 IF you're willing to do minor mods.

Pero since 2-3 vehicles lang naman ang choice mo, I suggest you test drive all 3. Hulihin mo lang yung FXT dahil kung unahin mo yun, malamang di mo na i test drive yung iba.

You already had a Ford Escape so buying a Forrester is not an upgrade. You are just wasting money for the same type of vehicle - a compact SUV. Get the montero na lang. 4x4 if possible.

Turbo. Don't know how much boost the standard 4-speed AT can take, but if it's the same as in the XT, it should do for up to 250 hp.

Anything less is a waste. It's an automatic, so breathing mods won't help too much... though a chip will help firm up low end power.

The Forester is a temptation for me right now. If ever I get it, first thing to do is get a chip. Or better wheels!
