He's still young, doc. Lots of time to recover. Plus he'll still have the leftover savings from his 3M

    he's 28

    skilled naman

    single and no responsibilities

if he bought a new car and lost his job he can always go back to his parents and live rent free

wala naman magugutom na asawa't anak

he got skills so all he needs is an internet connection he can always find freelance work

IT industry is facing a bleak future imo. Cue in automation.

Naka-City ako ngayon. I love it. Should I buy a car just to have a hobby?

*commercial - here are my thoughts for cars around 1M to 1.2M.

If you want something frugal but with class and decent space, go with the VW Jetta. Its turbo diesel engine will be cheaper on fuel yet it has enough power to give you a sporty drive. It also comes standard also with side airbags.

If you want a quick and fast ride, go with the Focus Ecoboost. You have to spend a lot more to get a ride with an engine that gives you 170-180hp. Its sporty nature results to a stiff ride though. Interior space is a bit cramped. Too bad, Ford after service sucks!

If you want something reliable and with enough space and decent fuel consumption and good driving dynamics, I guess the Civic 1.8L is the best all-around compact car on the market.

Lahat naman meron risk eh, kung puro risk iisipin, huwag na lumabas ng bahay baka masagasaan. Teka lang pwede rin pala madulas sa bahay at maumpog ulo at mamatay. Should I buy a car just to have a hobby?

You're young go for it. Kailangan ka pa mag Enjoy ng pinahirapan mo? You have all the time.
