If I were you I'd keep the Corona. Ano ba sa tingin mo ang masisira diyan? First owned naman so you know how well you have maintained that. Being a Toyota, if well maintained, walang masyadong problema yan. Baka body work lang kung may mga minor dents and scratches at hindi pa nababangga.
Suspension at mga ilalim siguro, at yung sakit ng Corona/Corolla sa power steering baka lumabas.
Kung religiously maintained ang makina, ayos pa yan. Though personally a 2nd gen 3S-GE swap would make sense to me. ;)

Pagkatapos ko palitan yung timing belt plano ko patira sa big berts yung exterior. Mejo di na tinatablan ng wax!! di na kumikintab. Dark blue pa naman yung kulay!!

keep you corona, bro. used to have one, nagsisi ako nung binenta ko. gas consumption niya is like a 1.6l. i get around 7-8km/l city driving. more than 10 sa highway.
as far as the exterior design is concerned, di pa rin sya laos, imo. it has the high belt line that is reminiscent of current brand new cars. the 3sfe engine, though not as powerful, gives decent torque on the low/mid range. perfect for city and highway overtaking. my only complaint is the suspension. di lang at par with the accord and cefiro. pero overall, one of the best cars talaga that is worth keeping.

dagdag lang para makumbinse ka...
Dont downgrade. Bad for your car experience ang downgrade from a midsize to compact sedan. Ma-miss mo yung torque at speed at luxury.
Bare in mind also that mid size sedans are EXPENSIVE nowadays... kaya swerte ka meron kang well maintained Corona Exsior which I also like kasi Torquey naman makina nyan (assuming parehas nung 1st gen Rav4).
Saka mid size sedans of that time which include the Galant & Accords are really sporty IMO... mid size sedans now have become sedate & luxurious... kumbaga rare breed na yung kotse mo baka next time maging sought after din yan given proper aging siguro... I'm thinking of ala AE86 sa Initial D... hehehe

September 11th, 2006 09:05 AM #40I used to have one , sometimes I regret selling it specially when I see one. However , hindi naman investment ang kotse so it is not advisable to keep it for a long time considering the fact that it depreciates.
sinabi moh! i hardly see my children now. when they were young, schedules were more predictable.
