I'm not sure about buying 2nd hand Hyundais. I don't know if parts are as cheap.
Especially a 2006 Sta Fe, which only has 5 Year Warranty.
Anyway, Pajero FM 4x2 consumes 6-7.5km/l (Heavy Footed-Light Footed) and top speed is 130km/h at level incline roads at 2800rpm
Pajero: Cheaper Parts, Cheaper Gas Bills, Seats 7, Prestige, Higher Resale Value
RAV 4: Relatively New, Faster, More Comfortable

Re: Santa Fe. Parts are cheap kapag sa labas bumili.
Yung 2006 models 3-years parin ang warranty. Kasi mid-2007 nag 5-years warranty ang Hyundai.

It it still my belief that "soft roaders" usually do not last long--it do not age gracefully even if it is still got a 4x4. Truck-based SUVs seem to fare better.
Sabagay, meron ng Sta. Fe (2006 model) 2nd hand 4x2 nga lang but about the price of the current Strada GLX.

Tama depende sa gamit.
You can't expect the CR-V or RAV4 to do well in a Farm without paved roads, compared to a Pick-Up or Full Size SUV.
But kung City Driving land siguro parang cars lang din naman siguro a Compact SUV.

agree rin !!!
I own both models, 06 rav4 4x4 and 99 FM 4x4, 7 year old FM mararami narin aayusin for maintenance, at 100k kms niyan diyan medyo madugo. with regards sa rav4 super mura maintenace cost kasi 10k change oil tapos 400 lang oil filter oem na, sa FM mas maraming oil then every 5k. oem oil filter cost 1.6k though may 550 na oil filter vic nga lang. sa gas based sa gamit ko nakaka 6 to 6.5 din naman rav4 while my fm can go higher at 6.5 to 7kms/l city driving. ang malaking differnce pag sa highway mas matipid na ang rav4 dahil pag maintain mo 120 to 140 sa sctex ang babang FC para karin nasa city, may last FC was 7 km/l the rav can go higher dahil relaxed ang cruising speed niya even at 150 kph, both my rigs use fully synthetic oil, naka delvac 1 yung fm while mobil 1 yung rav. performance wise malayo talaga clocked my rav below 9secs vs 18 secs pag 0 to 100kmh. kaya sa highway diyan pinaka ayaw ko idrive FM kasi nakakapagod. space naman ang LAKI LAKI ng legroom ng 2nd row parakang naka business class, pinaka gusto ko to lalo na pag may driver ako kasama. both have 4x4 kaya kaya na nila medyo rough terrain. for me very practical pang laspagan yung FM though ang layo ng refinement na kaya ibigay ng rav4.
imho, though im a pajero fanatic also by heart, both are great cars tagal ko inisip to my vote goes to the rav 4. dahil mas bago siya at mas di ka bibigyan ng problems within the next 5 years.
Choice I would have made as well.
