The 999k introductory price of the 2009/10 everest is quite unbelievable. Sales from their other vehicles will all go to the everest then, but if it was true, I'd line up for one as well.

Go for Grand Livina if you decide to purchase an MPV instead of SUV:
1. Locally assembled thus spare parts are easily available.
2. New engine/model so you can expect that this model will stay for some time (alum block engine/drive by wire/all-powered) in Phils.
3. Japanese/European technology (Nissan/Renault).
4. You are looking for an SUV which normally comes as 5 seater. For an MPV, you get additional 2 seats.
5. Comfortable ride compared with other MPV.
6. Within your price range.
7. Safety features for a price of below 1 M (ABS, EBD, airbags, immobiliser, child-safety lock)
