January 17th, 2006 11:40 PM #24Why don't you consider nissan grandeur? ganda ng interior and ok naman daw nabasa ko sa mga threads dito, mababa din resale value kaya baka pumasok sa budget mo, basta look for well taken care of car pag 2nd hand, like may service records sana..
Balita ko nga sa ford lynx before ay problemado electrical parts kaya hirap ibenta, but may pinsan ako may lynx ok naman daw..just giving opinions to help you decide

Thanks guys, kausap ko cousin ko this morning (sya buyer nung lynx), i mentioned that i'm thinking/reconsidering on keeping the car as there are options naman pala where to get cheaper parts. OK naman sa kanya, he's ok to that idea.
I'll go to Banawe this weekend and look for these parts (shocks, insulators, bushings etc).
Yun nga palang estimate sa kin na 25K is for the 4 shock absorbers na! sorry, guys nanlabo kasi tingin ko nun makita ko yung presyo eh hehe.

kung shocks problema, sa cruven or zee ka pumunta, they'll repair your original shocks. believe us.

Ah... 25k for four shoucks is high, but just right for casa parts. Non-casa shocks (last time I bought them) for my last car were just under 15k for a set, but I'm sure I would've spent 25-30k din sa casa.
Good luck sa search. And do try my suggestion about wrapping your sensors in insulation. I know some Lynx owners who haven't had problems, and some who have. The common denominator is always heat... pag trip mong mag rezing-rezing every now and then, insulating your sensors will give you some peace of mind.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

25K for a complete set of shocks?
you can get OEM ones in Banawe for less than 15K / set. heck, for 25K you can already buy an entry level sports / adjustable shock absorbers.

Niky, what material do you use to wrap the sensors? The casa mechanic told me once that there's a sensor in the 1.6 lynx that costs 12K pesos cant remember which one. If it's heat thats doing them in, then I'll wrap those little critters.
M2, yup it IS expensive, and for that car, his casa days are over heheheh. neways matagal na tapos yung warranty nya.
My decision will be finalized after tomorrow, after my 'Banawe adventure' = )
