Because of the price. Lower a price enough the masses start swarming and finally makatikim na din ng SUV. A so-called "social status" EVentually as more people own it the glamor dissapears...

Well if you take things too literally forget the MS, Fort, and SF because they can't even buy a Chery QQ.
The point is, you drop the price down there. A lot of people start buying (some people even take ridiculous loan terms just to say nakabili sya ng SUV, bunch of losers). It becomes too common on the road then it loses its glamour...

if you want "status", buy an X5 or a Cayenne. not an MS, Fort or Sta. Fe
On topic:
In my opinion,
Santa Fe's interior is luxurious,
Overall value for money goes to the Montero Sport,
The Fortuner's exterior is "macho"
If you'd ask me, I'd get a Montero Sport for now since it's new compared to the Fort, pero kung nagkasabay sila ng Fort, maybe Fortuner kukunin ko

One concern about the Fortuner is that the current generation might be due for a replacment since it was first introduced way back in 2005 (4 years na ngayon since it was first introduced). Although meron siyang update/facelift late last year, the general appearance remains the same. With the onslaught of the Mitsu MS, which is selling like there is no tomorrow, Toyota might release a new/next generation Fortuner next year to maintain its lead in the med-SUV market. Sayang naman if bumili then after a few months or after 1 year lang meron ng next/new generation of the same vehicle. Meron bang info as to when the new/next generation Fortuner will be unleashed in the Philippines?

April 24th, 2009 03:00 PM #409pwede mo icompare ang toyota fortuner sa toyota revo based on popularity and sa taas ng sales.
ang toyota revo nagkaroon ng 3 generation 1998 up to 2005 (7yrs tumagal)

Well, influence ng t-badge nga kasi. A lot of pinoys are blinded by it. Regardless, customers are...
