I think its just the stigma that still prevails amongst a lot of people to think that a Korean car should not be priced above a Japanese car. They still find it absurd. As far as quality goes patas na sila sometimes even better than the Japanese and its not only in the car industry even Samsung seems to make better TV's than Sony these days...

As far as Santa Fe vs Outlander we have to also add that Santa Fe is diesel and Outlander is gas and diesel engines are more expensive thus the price also Santa Fe is a bit bigger than Outlander thus I think its fair to price the Santa Fe higher than the Outlander.

As for the Fortuner its lucky it has a Toyota badge which automatically sells in this country, but is it really as reliable as people think it is? Or are they just being lured by the swirling T? Rather is the D4D reliable? Since this is not just a Fortuner problem its also an Innova and Hi-Lux problem and the problems are well documented. Plausot ng Toyota is madumi daw diesel natin sa 'pinas, pero we all use the same diesel anyway so why are the CRDi of Hyundai/Kia and DiD of Mitsubishi not as sensitive to the dirty diesel?

Fortuner...maganda daw at macho. Napakarami na ng macho sa kalye these days. In one intersection, I can see all Forts surrounding my poor Subby Forester. Dumarami na rin ang mga traffic violators mostly naka-Forts. Macho daw kasi sila eh.

Yung Montero sports...parang Fuzion ang likuran at Strada ang harap. Wala na bang magaling na designer ang Mitsu? Cost cutting na naman.

Santa Fe...Korean made daw? E ano ngayon kung Korean. Actually, Koreans are now competing in Telenovela. pang international na sila ngayon. Samsung and LG ang trusted brand sa Mobile Phone at LCD TV. Kung pintasan natin ang Korean brand ay parang meron nang nagawang milestone ang mga Pinoy.

back to the Topic: Sa tatlong SUV, Hyundai Santa Fe lang ang masasabi kong may International taste.CRDI engine is superb. May crash test at refutation to be sold in 1st world countries like the US and EU....Fortuner at Montero meron ba? Dito nga sa Dubai, ang tawag sa Fortuner ay Thailand SUV. Fortuner at Montero sports...sad to say, pang Asia ka lang dahil kaya tayong paikutin at tambakan ng mga defective at obsolete/basurang makina galing sa Japan.

Please be cautious about the postings. Kahit sa internet lang ito, respeto pa rin ang kailangan. Kahit na ASEAN model pa mga iyan, they still do the job given to them.

On topic: Mas gusto ko talaga Sta. Fe but the lack of an extra airbag and the price still are the problems so the next best thing is the MS (best of both worlds but is still new). The Fort is good but the suspension and the quantity on the road really doesn't make you stand out (if you're craving for attention).

Still, 1.5 mil is a lot of money so any of the three can be a good choice. It's the buyer's satisfaction that counts. If they love any of the 3, so be it (It's their money).

Sa fort 3.0 pa rin ako..Mukhang hindi dapat sali ang santa being monocoque..Kung lalabas next year ang Pathfinder with dci engine, hintay nalang muna..

IMO the best looking part of the Santa Fe is still the side. Muka talagang Subaru Tribeca or VW Touareg. Class na class talaga yung itsura enough to penetrate the European markets styling forcefields

In my experience sa Toyota Pasong Tamo Makati for 2 1/2 yrs more than satisfied naman ako. i tried once yung Toyota Makati sa Kalayaan, ok din naman pero TPT pa din ako nag-PMS which by February of next year na ulit balik ko. I am a happy owner ng 2.5 D-4D Fort and honestly, wala naman akong na-experince na smoke belching.
