and the latest BMW 5-Series coming this year

the e-class is more luxurious and the 5 series is more sportier than the e-class. i don't think either is better, but if i'm going to buy one i'd get the 5 series. why? because i like bmw's pin point accurate steering wheel, both are luxurious so i'd choose the one that can turn sharper on tight roads. but the e-class is just so ***y in person, pang executive talaga ang dating.

The 5-series is already here. Saw one in EDSA last month.

Yup., although the e-class is executive looking ... i`d be still opting for the 5-series.

I'm a big Mercedes fan but in this case I'll take the 5 series.

For me, BMW 3 series -> Mercedes E-class -> Mercedes S-class is my luxury progression :naughty2: never did like the current generation 5-series, previous generation was awesome though. 530d really had that engine refinement and could easily smoke most of the modded cars out on the streets.

I'd probably just toss a coin though I prefer the E-class. Not really a fan of the new and "smoothened" 5er. I like the wild lines of E60 better.

I'd choose the 5 series pa rin just. Ultimate driving machine, what motto could have been written better.

Definitely 5 series. I find the 5 Series to have more presence on the road. Also the 3.0V6 diesel engine is definitely much better. I'm not paying more than five million bucks on a car with an engine that is just a few horses more powerful than a Hyundai engine of the same size despite having two turbos at that.

E-Class. Looks more expensive and classier. :D

523i for 5.8Million? No thanks. Also not a big fan of BMWs nowadays since it was handled by ACC instead of BMW Ph.

I've had my e-class for a year -- very happy with it. In contrast, I'm hearing about a lot of reliability issues for BMWs (I'm in Singapore).

New E-Class or New 5-Series?
