Hi-Ace Grandia--Japan parts cost the earth of all the toyota line Grandia has the most expensive especially the underchassis parts (even the aftermarket brands depende pa sa availability) same with Urvan.
Hi to all, share ko lang experience sa Urvan ko. Van ko na siya since 1994. So far experience ko sa Urvan (Escapade Body) is Change oil, change oil filter, change brake pads and linings for rear brakes, bulbs and headlights (sealed Beam) lang mga maintenance ko. Isa pang natuwa ako is yung brake master nia and hydrovac until now di pa nagloloko since 1994 pa. So far since 1994 eto pa lang mga pinalitang kong major parts aside from upgrading the engine:

    1. Water Pump
    2. Radiator
    3. Tie Rod
    4. Ball joint
    5. Shock absorber

Di nakakatakot i-maintain ang Urvan dahil ala electronics, at kagandahan pa daming surplus parts pati aircon compressor na Dieselkiki or Zexel. Urvan is Timing Chain kaya ala ka maintenance for Timing Belt. Right now my Uravn is used for Business (Delivery Van for Feeds). Tinanggal ko na laht upuan nia. Im using a Volkswagen Caravelle TDI right now as my Family Van. Reliability, parts availablity and toughness of under chasis parts advantage mo sa Urvan.

Starex for me too. Top Gear featured the 3 vans of your choice and it also picked the Starex.

The Starex is really value-for-money. Very comfy ride and nice engine too. My mother-in-law has three, yes, 3 Starexes because she finds it really good. Maselan pa man din siya sa sasakyan. She is very satisfied with it.

Looks like you have gotten a lemon. A good number of the Starex owners i know have already done repeat purchases as they have been satisfied with that van.
