If you want speed and acceleration, get the Innova gas

Innova gas is pretty gutless at low speeds. Sure it'll be good at highway speeds, but it'll take time to get there.

quick question on this one, so among the two, which one has better low and mid range grunt? I prefer that versus top speed. Pero I really like the looks of the Montero.

Sir, 314NM po ang torque ng MS non-vgt, pero sa 2000rpm pa ito nagaganap. Ang torque ng D4D na innova po ay nsa 200NM pag MT at 260NM pag AT, both ata ay nagaganap at 1600-2400RPM, pero hndi nman ibig sbihin na mas malakas ito sa MS. Pero nakita nmin na hanggang 130 lang ang takbo ng innova d4d. Wla kasing IC ang turbo nito eh. Pero mas porma ang MS kaya yun na lng po piliin nyo.

Own a d4d AT, 160 kph top speed. Based on my experience, having driven both, the d4d AT has more punch from low to mid range and accelerate faster but MS is faster at high speeds ( 140 kph and beyond ) as the former starts to loose steam above 140 but not before.

Id get the Montero bec. Of the stance. Plus if it gets older, change tires na lang and you get an offroad look vehicle. I think in the near future, Tanay will be the next Tagaytay bec. Of the sceneries and the increasing number of bike and offroader tourists in the area. Even sportscars go there bec. Of the well-built highway. Mura pagkain, di tulad sa Tagaytay commercialized na,

If you're open to suggestions, KIA Carnival SWB at 1.15M offers far better value than these two. Innova is okay, but at 1M, it's just too much. It was ok when it was a little more than half a million though. Now, it is a severely overpriced vehicle.

Montero GLX-NV is okay but it's a current favorite among carjackers and car thieves. I'm sure, your kids and wife would love the soft ride of Carnival.

Haha, di naman Sir. I'm not Anti-MS. I actually like it pero vis-a-vis another vehicle like say KIA Sorento, i'd get the Sorento and/or Santa Fe. Na-drive ko na kasi nang matagal pareho and I really liked the ride and the power. Yun lang, sobrang mahal na ng 2 na yun ngayon.

Based on probabilities, I think kaya maraming nasangkot na MS sa accidents lately kasi sobrang dami rin na meron nito, likely because the found good value in it. Pogi, good price, etc.

No worries, di naman ako affected (wala pa akong MS eh). Even if I do, ayos lang. These are, but mere appliance that we dispose of after it reaches its end of utility with us.
