at anyrate, i believe sort of isolated incident naman yon.
and usually naipapasok naman sa warranty.

hi marco. that's the sad part. the dealership said it wasn't covered by the warranty so he had to pay for it.

i hope this wont make or break your decision on whether or not to get a strada
but to put things in perspective, i'd offer my humble two-cents:

we're you able to ask/know:
a. whether he tried to bring it to other dealership / talk to the manager?
b. sunog ba yung clutch?

that the clutch matter happens, i wont sugar-coat it. it really happened sa ibang kakilala ko. but...
re a. PITA talaga mag claim ng warranty. and sometimes it depends sa dealership and people you get to talk to.
its a fact na some casas are friendlier, some or not. and minsan talagang kailangan may kakilala ka sa loob. of course kailangan din may nalalaman ka para di ka madadala sa paikot ng kasa

re b. clutch is a wear-and-tear item, kaya di talaga siya warrantable. pero merong cases defective, so naipapsok din sa warranty sometimes. may mga alam akong cases na go sa warranty. pero merong isa (in spite dinala sa mga subok ng service advisors) hindi na warranty. why? kasi sunog yung clutch. the explanation given was hindi normal yung pag operate ng sasakyan (clutch-driver).

and ps: sa lahat naman ng sasakyan may bad batch ika nga. if you search online "common problem: <vios, altis, innova cruze, etc etc>" may lalabas na post na they had such and such a problem. so what im just saying just follow what you really want; rather than settle for yung seemingly walang problema then malasin. kasi at the end of the day, yung manufacturing woes apply to all brands/model

Since nakakuha na ako ng 2012 model, ang napansin ko lang is pag iistart ko yung strada ko dun sa instrument panel may lumalabas na red icon na ABS di ko rin masure kung meron nga o wala. Pero sa may mga previous model napapansin niyo na ba may umiilaw na ABS sa ride niyo?

hi marco. your comprehensive input on this matter is highly appreciated. strada 2012 is still my top choice. hopefully the strada owner will visit our gasoline station again so i can ask him more questions about his replaced clutch.

balak ko dito na lang sa province namin bumili kasi mga 10 hours ang layo ng manila sa amin masyadong magastos kung ibabalik ko sa manila for PMS. hopefully ok yun dealership dito sa amin.
