forester ground clearance increased X, Premium, LL Bean: 8.1"; XT Limited 7.9" (http://www.cars101.com/subaru/forest...ester2006.html)

outlander ground clearance (inches): 8.3" (http://www.internetautoguide.com/car...der/index.html)

rav4 - "...just 6.7 inches of ground clearance..." parang mas mataas kasi eh.

    Hi jonski,

    PBWY!

Subaru Forester is the most car like ride. The best handling as well. You can do a sudden turn and it will remain stable because the power distribution is balance due to its horizontal engine. Nung dating hawak pa ng GM and Subaru, may squala driving sa Rockwell. They put a mantle on the floor then filled it up with soap sud and water. Nasa look ako ng isang Forester. What the agent did was. Run the car then pull the breaks then turn the steering wheel. The car really did a 360 degree turn/slide on the mantle and it turns out fine. Stable. That is why I vote for this car.

CRV on the other hand, nadaan ko na sa baha since I have one. Ok din naman. Quite high ang clearance. Pero you can still feel its an SUV. Not too car like. But performance wise... its a Honda!

The rest of the models, cant comment for never ko pa nadrive. Pag outlander naman, if I'm not mistaken, may bagong body na sya. If this is the car you want, a little more patience. Hope ipapasok nila dito.

The best of all advise? GO FOR A TEST DRIVE! Thats the only way to satisfy your curiosity.

poringdrops: knowing how mmpc operates, matagal pa before they bring in the 2nd gen outlander here

has anyone driven these CUVs hard around a track like brc? or ran them sa autoX?

i can comment na while the outlander ran better than expected sa brc, the shocks weren't keeping up, lakas ng body roll if you're running like 50-60kph sa casino filipino hairpin area and when pushing it hard sa other tight corners...umaabot na sa bump stops niya in short. same thing i noticed when i ran it sa autoX.

    Hi jonski,

    Peace Be With You!

Go for the Forester na 2.5T. You'll definitely not go wrong. Hindi ka pa mabibitin sa power ever. Of course unless a bigger displacement ang pumasok sa eksena. hehehe.

    Good luck sa paghunt. Enjoy.

PS: Really. Go and request for a TEST DRIVE! Thats the best way to choose.
