Siguro nga, pero am not an angine guru...all I know (heck I might even be mistaken): yong i-DSI, 8 valves lang ata, conventional 2 in ea cylinder, pero 2 spark plugs ea. Better ignition and combustion (sunog talaga...so no lost power) at SOHC lang pala. Ang take naman ng honda talga dito sa revolutionary engine design nila e fuel efficiency at mukhang matipid nga...i haven't done a 2 digit --- 10-12km/L in a very very long time which I'm experiencing with the City. Kanya kanya diskarte sila. Pero I'm not sure about fuel efficiency...pero mukhang tipid din naman. But the engine is not the only factor kase...mas mabigat din body ng city kesa vios. kaya din siguro mas mabilis yong latter (in my opinion based don sa test drive ko). yong city na pina test sa akin, talagang demo unit kaya sabe ng agent, ibirit mo hanggang gusto mo. So ayon, feel ko lang parang malaks siya sa lo-mid rpm (arangkada) pero sa rekta baka maubusan. Yong vios naman na pina-test e mukhang unit na about to be released (54km lang on the odo at may plastic pa) kaya medyo alalay lang. Feeling ko e marame pa ibubuga. Pero talagng may sabit sa primera at sa reverse maski gano mo tapakan yong clutch. Yon lang.

August 16th, 2005 10:52 PM #155Just a thought... I hope you can consider the jazz before you make a final decision. i just got mine a few days ago and im still smilling from ear to ear. mind you, i shopped, asked and surfed a lot before i make my final decision.... the jazz is just so much better in a lot of ways.

jazz costs a lot more (50K+ difference din). ewan ko ba kung bakit mas mahal pero halos same lang sila ng city. i sat down sa rear seats ng jazz, i felt cramped. parang mas maliit kasi compared sa city.
or wait for the facelifted city na about to be released this september DAW accdg sa honda shaw. kaya nga when i asked for a quotation for the city, wala siyang mabigay sa akin.
monmag, i think the 1.3E vios can do 12-14kms/L ATA, kung tama yung naalala ko sa nabasa ko sa VCP forums..

zechs, matipid din pala. Meron naman ako nabasa na 8km/L urban driving...i guess our driving habits and route vary, thus, the difference. All I know is that I didn't change my driving habits (which is, *guilty your honor*, a bit on the wasteful side --- always a/c on, a few mins more than necessary of idling on stop and go, before and after a trip, etc.), and city driving or traffic route (more on the moderate to heavy side), yet, I got that more than decent reading. In my old sedan, swerte na ko maka 7kms per.
I stopped dreaming about that 1,114 kms on a full tankin the commercial, tho, in principle, that is the potential of the i-DSI (Jazz yong gamit don). do the math --- that's a whopping 26.5km/L...! That's also theoretically the capability of the city (well maybe a little less 'coz of its weight).
