Dude, d Super Touring n' GTS r both upgrades of the series 3.. aesthetically.. the next gen. of sentras r not called ser.4 anymore, di na ginagamit yung name tags na "series, series" on the new sentras... By d way both S.Touring and GTS used d same body w/c is d B14, ser.2 naman B13.. thats d safest tag na ginagamit internationally to identify a car, kc 4 example u used a chasis yr. 2 identify a car, it might be that in other countries a 94 sen maybe a b14 (ser.3) na, while in pinas b13 (ser.2) pa lang.. di kayo magkakaintindihan. ;)

imho, since your talking about second hand cars, get the car which was better maintained by the previous owner.
anything is bound to fail soon because of its age.

November 16th, 2006 12:00 PM #24follow-up question po.
thanks in advance..

November 20th, 2006 02:11 PM #25Sa pagkaka-alam ko, malaki ang condenser at evaporator ng Nissan.
Buying a 10 year old Series III will give you some problems. But after fixing them (correctly), then you are on your way to enjoying the car. Here are some of the problems I encountered starting on year 7....something for you to watch out for:
- alternator
- water pump
- magnetic clutch assembly (of the compressor)
- evaporator (mas maganda kung original ipalit mo para ma-maintain ang lamig)
- erratic idling (MAF sensor)
- main pulley
- suspension (mahina front suspension ng sentra; prone to kalampag; tyaga ka lang sa paghanap ng kalampag)
- sliding clutch -> Auto transmission (eto main reason kaya binenta ko Sentra ko)
- assumption is that the engine is still running great.
Fixable naman lahat. Kailangan mo lang ng time at pasensya habang nagpapagawa ka.
goodluck.

my experience with our 89 sentra... uso brown out noon, sa sentra kami natutulog for 3 to 5 hrs. pero syempre nakapark sa kalsada. term kasi sa isang good AC ay pag ung sinasabi nilang "kumakagat sa balat ang lamig"...
syempre look for the well maintained car para sure ka na di lugi.

November 25th, 2006 06:52 PM #29bro suggestion ko lang if practicality wise get the lancer, cheaper ang parts, mas madaming pwedeng ilagay na add-ons, mas madali pagandahin, compare sa sentra na limited lang mgagawa mong improvement and medyo di talaga maganda iporma yung series III look around mas madami gumgamit ng itlog lancer, simply mean it's a lot nicer than the sentra. don't look for those ammenities like power folding side mirror di naman masyado nagagamit yung pag nasira pa mahal. regarding sa power malakas din single cam ng lancer, mabigat yung sentra and mas malakas pa sa gas as compare sa itlog lancer. euro look or jdm lang ng lancer itlog sobrang ganda na mura pa. never get a sentra bro sasakit ulo mo. and another thing medyo mas maluwag ang itlog compare sa series III.
Choice I would have made as well.
