FYI, the Strada 3.2 has a timing chain and not a timing belt...
and also...don't use all caps...its not ethical to use that in this type of forums unless your emphasizing something or signifying anger...
and don't make it sound that only the other pickups has reliability issues...which is totally untrue...
I think Isuzu Motors Phil. should pay you for making that page, make'em buyers look gwapo I suppose?... or did they already?

Basically the difference between gear and belt is the service interval.

The engines timing belt does not make it unreliable. There is a recommended interval for its replacement. Follow it using OEM belts and there won't be an issue. 4d56, 2L and 3L engines are all reliable engines based on my experience. Even isuzu builts timing belt engines like 4jb1!
The current hilux would be my pick because of its bigger engine bed and much better 2nd row space. The seats are also better in terms of comfort (hilux). So between the 2 choices, hilux na ako. Basically parehong matagtag is walang karga, parehong matibay, madali piyesa at maintenance, almost same engine performance.Fasten your seatbelt! Or else... Driven To Thrill!

Chief, our current Philippine-issue ISUZU DMax Ddi-iTEQ is "inferior" to the other brands in terms of peak performance, as a matter of fact. While the DMax-siado is among the Top 10 most fuel-efficient vehicles, along with the Ddi-iTEQ Alterra, as tested by the Department of Energy in 2008, it DOES NOT mean, however, that it's better than the 3-litre TOYOTA Hilux D4-D.
The local Hilux is way better as it has the better VGT (or Toyota calls it VNT)-equipped 1KD-FTV engine.
The Europeans and Australians are categorised as Class "A" consumers by Isuzu Japan, and the Thais as Class "B" consumers, and the rest of the SE Asians that include us Pinoys, Malaysians, Vietnamese etc etc are grouped as Class "C" ahihi ahoho....
According sa isang Thai na kaibigan ko, nag-test run daw ang Isuzu Thailand ng RT-50 sa Chonburi, Thailand at iba na rin ang makina at body-design nito; initial figure is plus 180 horsepower, according to him, and that the same engine will be fitted to the 2012 MU-7 (Alterra of the Thais).
