    1.3 m/t jazz versus 1.3 cvt jazz

mas matipid ang cvt since nacocompute na ng tranny kung ano yung optimum "gear"..pero wala naman gear kasi CVT nga, continuously variable.

    sa 1.3 cvt jazz ko,

using the 7 speed steermatic controls hataw hataw redline redline in the city, i get a low of 10km/l

using D only in the city, high of 12km/l

sa highway, D mixed with 7 speed, 16km/l highest SO FAR. pag highway na kasi, sarap mag spirited driving e.

My last tankful got me 13.177 km/L. My fuel economy's gotten progressively better over the past 6 weeks, starting from 11.5 km/L.

Funny enough, the more I thrash the Jazz, the more frugal it seems to get!

I have a 1.3 CVT City (2008). My fuel consumption has steadily improved, starting from 9.5 km/l to about 12+ km/l - all city driving (QC to Makati and back).

Several Sundays ago, I drove to Tagaytay. I got 19+ km/l.

Our Honda City Vtec is averaging around 13 km/l mixed city and highway. I'm expecting it to get better as we just finished it's first 1k PMS.

    Honda City 1.3 i-DSI m/t (2003) 205/40/17
    10.5km/l city
    1st to 2nd gear 2500rpm
    2nd-5th gear 2000rpm

...i bought the car from my aunt 2 months ago with 58k km only, she purchased the car brand new in 2003 when it came out. am trying to get 12km out of a liter. will tune up the car with new spark plugs and wirings, new fuel filter, new tank cap, new coolant and in 6 month with a new fully synthetic engine oil. i just changed the air filter 3 weeks ago, costs me 1200k at the honda house.

will let you guys know my new km/l result when every tuning is done.

how you guys are getting 13-15km/l out? unbelievable to me.

You are on 17" rims. Change those back to stock 14"s or 15"s and you will get 13-15kms/L.

17" rims are just too heavy and add to rolling resistance.

    My 2 centavos

i dont think so, will give me probably 0.5km more if im going to 14", and i got michelin pilot preceda pp2 which is an advantage of having higher mileage.
